
Progress and Ramblings
So last month I was feeling like the scale wasn't budging! I was really working hard too, exercising, eating healthy and then it seemed like nothing mattered....I wasn't losing anything....but all of sudden my jeans were too big! So I have been losing inches all along.....which is great, but then I decided not to weigh myself for 2 weeks and then miraculously I had lost a total of 10 pounds last month! That was my goal and I achieved it! I now understand why you shouldn't weigh yourself all the time, it makes you nuts! Plus TOM is the worst! I gained 8 pounds overnight and flipped out! lol Then I realized it was just TOM and it eased my mind a little.
Anyway my biggest news is.....drum roll please!........I am now in a size 16 jeans!!!!! They are actually a little loose, I can get into a 14 but I like my clothes to fit nice instead of having the "muffin top" if you know what I mean.
Thats super amazing to me considering in April I was wearing a size 22 pants. I can wear smaller dresses like a 14 and 12, but my hips don't lie! I will never be a size 2 I am realistic about this, being 6'0" tall with a bigger than most size frame I will not be TINY. But I will be hot and amazing when I reach my goal of 175. (thats actually the lowest my doctor will let me get with the height/weight thing) So even at 195 I will feel so much better! I have not seen a 1 at the beginning of the scale numbers since junior high! This is the closest I have ever been to that as an adult and I am so ecstatic to be so close! 2 more months and I will be on the 190's thats the plan and I am dedicated!
I LOVE my Wii Fit! OMG it does kick your booty! It's helped me a lot I believe with the inches and I also watch what I eat I try to keep my calories around 1200 a day and drink as much water as I can force myself to drink. The phen helps me curb the appetite during the day and it boosts my energy just enough to get me moving and not moan about it. I clean a lot and organize and am constantly doing something during the day. As a stay at home mom I have to.....just so I do not get bored and eat. I was one of those eaters that ate when bored. No more! I have learned to replace that habit with different activities.
It really is all about a lifestyle change. Yes the pills help, but they will not always be in my cupboard, I want KEEP the weight off for good and continue a healthy lifestyle and set a good example for my daughter. I am not a regular poster. I try to get on here when I need motivation, or when I feel I can share to motivate others......mainly when I have the time and actually remember to go to this site. Half the time I log onto the computer for a specific reason and get distracted and then log off without even doing what I intended on doing in the first place.....MOM BRAIN! All you mothers out there know what I am talking about!
Anyway thank you all again for all of your support, encouragement, and tips! I am so glad to have this forum and great group of people to share this journey with!
