Brand Name vs Generic - Phentermine.com

Is there a difference? I know technically there isnt suppose to be but I think there is. My friend was prescribed Adipex 37.5mg and I was prescribed phentermine 37.5mg. I took one of her pills and she took one of mine to see if there was a difference, she said mine did nothing for her. While my appetite was surpressed with the phentermine it was really suppresed with Adipex? Anybody have any experience with this?

A really good question! One I'd love to know the answer to as well. Apparently I was given a generic by a doctor, but it seems to be working.

Apidex is just the name of the 37.5 phentermine. The only thing I can say is did you two get your scripts from different stores? I got my first script from CVS and they were fine but the next ones I got from Walgreens were super. The company manufactures were different but the pills were the same. I think I was just mind freaking myself. Maybe that is what's happening with you guys.

Also, when you take the pill are you taking it on a COMPLETELY empty stomach? I noticed that works so much better. Take it on empty and then eat about 1/2 hour to an hour later and you will notice the difference.

I have been wondering the same thing. I am on the generic brand and my friend is on Adipex and she has been doing really well with weight loss and she never is hungry, where as I am hungry all the time, though I have been doing pretty good keeping it under control. Interesting.

Are you on the 37.5's too? Where do you get them from? Sometimes the different manufactures make a difference too. Maybe you should try a different pharmacy.

Yep, I am on 37.5 mg. I take 1/2 in the morning and 1/2 at lunch. She did get hers at a different pharmacy than me. Maybe I will get my next script there.
