Hi,

I use sparkpeople to keep track of my calories and fitness goals. It's telling me that I should consume between 1410 - 1760 calories a day for my height, weight and the amount of calories I burn. That seems like so much! I struggle to get in 1200 calories. So I am 5'6, 152 lbs and I started jogging 3-5 miles ( I jog a mile, the walk for 3 min then jog another mile) every morning. What do you think?

It told me I should eat even more than that. I manually changed my calorie goal. They only want you to lose 1-2lbs a week.

thanks... that makes me feel better. At least i know I'm not the only one ignoring there 'suggested' calorie intake

my dr suggested 1200-1500 calories.

I use it, but not to actually follow their recommended calorie amount. I do like to track food/exercise (when I remember) Hoping that will help me later on when I am no longer on phen.

I have a page on there but it is so confusing to understand! I use www.my-calorie-counter.com. It's free and it's not as confusing.
