i found that in my son's diaper once after he had alot of bad diarreah, I forgot what the doctor said caused it but you should definitely get checked out.....

Are you consinpatied when you go poo? Are you pushing to hard when you go poo?
These things can cause blood to come out. I have had it happen but only when im consinpatied and when I push to hard when I go poo to get it out.
But go to the doctor just to make sure nothing is wrong

don't worry about getting a colonoscopy, they may just treat you for the symptoms alone without having to look up there...they didn't for my son......

Ok, here's the deal with the blood. If it is red...bright red, like it is fresh, then there is less cause for alarm. If it's fresh (bright red) it means that it came from somewhere very close to your anus. Probably that your colon is irritated. If it is dark...like older blood, then that means there is a problem further inside that you need checked out. It could be an ulcer in your belly or several other things. But that is the blood to be really concerned about!

As for the "jello" stuff, when I take a good colon cleanser, this happens. It is all the stuff that stuck to the walls of our colon. We do actually have lubricant in our colons and that is most likely what that is. Which would irritate your colon causing a little blood to come with it. I had this happen the first week I was on phen, but it got better.

Are you taking any vitamins? That might be the cause. But in my case, It was the phen that did it.

I agree. Low carb and phen can cause constipation and constipation can cause your symptoms. If you're worried it can't hurt ot call your dr.

You should probably go to the doc to make sure.
But the blood, depending on how much and color.... could be because you had diarhea prior to this. Diarhea stimulates your intestine to get rid of the 'crap'... because of this a little blood is normal. It just means there was some type of strain. The whitish/jello stuff... thats mucus. Mucus is produced in your colon to help the constipated poop get out. It coats the walls & poo to help it move.
My advice... take something like miralax or over load on greens to help you poop. I think your constipated because of the low card diet with next to no fat. Our body needs fat to help us poo.

Thats scary, I would definately call my doc, you dont wanna mess around. Especially the jello lookn stuff. Only time I saw that it came out the other area and I was in labor (mucus plug) Please let us know what they say.
