I took Phentermine in 2005 and it worked wonders. However, I did this along with many other drugs and got sober in April 2005. I have tried several pills (and diets & exercise programs) in the last 2 years that are all natural ingredients....to no avail. I have tried to find ingredients for the current Phentermine concoction - I assume that since ephedrine is illegal now it's not in the current pill. Does anyone know where I can find this info? If it doesn't put my sobriety in danger, I'd really like to try it again. What are your experiences physically & mentally? Any words of wisdom?

Phentermine is a controlled substance and shows up in a drug screen as "amphetamine like".It does give a buzz and burst of energy almost manic at times for some.Like me today running from room to room cleaning everything in site.I would guess it would be a personal decision,I work in a psychiatric hospital and we have an addiction floor,the hard core recovering I know will not even take cough syrup with alcohol or codeine.You would probably know best if it would push you to use other drugs.Phentermine is an addictive drug and we will experience withdrawl when we go off it.But I know it is so hard to lose weight,I was doing weight watchers without phen and I lost 12 pounds in 16 weeks.On the phen,not even going to weight watchers 227-213 since 7/19.It is a hard decision to make.

Phentermine is the generic name for this prescription pill.That is the base ingredient and it is not ephedra or any herb.Brand names are on this site info,adipex,ionamin are other names.Just like Xanax's generic name is Alprazolam,phentermine is the generic name.You won't find a list of any ingredients.
