Angry Need to vent & need encouragement...
Well my weeks go pretty good..I stay focused, stay on track and do really good come fridays weigh in. THEN the weekend hits and all goes to hell!! Hanging with friends, beer, cookouts, beer..... I am so frustrated with my self...I lose and gain the same 5 pounds every week. Then last night...I had to be around some family members that I no longer talk to and that stressed me out so bad that when I got home we ordered pizza and finished off the beer from the weekend. I hate that I azm an emotional eater....

I guess you can tell I am a bit whiney today! LOLOLOL

I'm sorry you are having a difficult time. It is hard to stay on track around friends. Try limiting yourself to 1 or 2 beers. Maybe light beer? Be really picky about what you eat at cookouts. Try to stay focused and exercise alot to work off those cals. We all have bad days so don't knock yourself. Today is a new day and you can begin again. Look forward not back and good luck. You can do this....

It's been suggested to me that when drinking alcohol, a person should have a glass of water between alcoholic beverages. Also, at cookouts and things such as that ... maybe have just " A " burger ... not a burger and a dog and a piece of chicken. Go for any raw veggies that are hanging around ... and DEFINITELY stay away from chips (they are so high in fat/calories/etc that it's not funny). Also, remember you are there to hang out with your friends ... not to hang out with the food - the food will make you fat, the friends won't (unless you LET them!)

Weekends are difficult - it throws everything out of whack!

You could plan for it, knowing you are going to over indulge ... plan to balance it out when you can.
example: Big cook out at 5pm? No problem, just don't eat much before and up your water.

As for stress - I can't escape it. Some things / people just put me in "tense" mode. I'm with you, I eat. I'd LOVE to learn another way to deal with my stress. I know that's the healthy thing to do, but I'm not at that point yet.
So I just try ever so hard to compensate ... what's done is done, move on and really eat a lot of lettuce afterwards. LOL

Im the same way! I do good during the week, then I gain 3 - 5 pounds on the weekend.

Omg i so know where your coming from, I do so good during the week and then the weekend comes and i cant help but have a couple drinks of bacardi razz with diet soda and by monday im up 5 pounds, wtf! So today as soon as i woke up i excersized and i been drinking water all day, I keep promising myself that friday i wont drink because of my diet then im so stressed and need a drink and screw everything up again. I tried not to be so down about it, i tried thinking well at least i lost 8-10 pounds. instead of thinking of the weight i gained.

Well, this is my first post other than my introduction. This one really hit home. I am an emotional eater and have had a hard time with it for years. I've done all the diets. Weight Watchers was the best and did teach me how to eat right but it didn't help with the emotional stuff. I am now seeing a psychologist because I want to beat this thing!!! I started seeing her 2 weeks ago and started on Phen a week ago thru another doctor. Between the 2 I hope to win! Hang in there and really consider seeking professional help with the emotional eating. I truly understand what you are going thru!

I stress over this also. I want to drink some beers this weekend, but I am afraid of the outcome and not losing the weight. In the past got so "into" whatever I am doing and go "all the way" usually without thinking about the outcome. I sympathize with you though on this, because it is something I enjoy also whether I am stressed or not. Just work out extra maybe this week, more water and lessen the stress somehow. I am no expert at any of this, but this is what I think most people would say.

I do the same thing. My one cheat meal on Saturday would turn into a whole weekend and then part of Monday and I was gaining and losing the same few lbs every week. I have just had to be stricter with myself. If I want to indulge in something, I eat light the rest of the time. Or if I know I want to drink, I will be careful with what I'm eating.

It helped me and I just BYOB. I often take my own little cooler with 'diet beer' on the top to ensure that nobody drinks it. LMAO I am not a fan of the Michelob Ultra (it tastes like puretee ***** to me.) But the Aspen Edge wasn't bad at all. I haven't tried any of the rest but maybe you can find them in your neck of the woods. I also make sure that I take a HUGE veggie tray with me to EVERY BBQ I go to and some nuts or pork rinds (no carbs at all and I still get a salty crunch to go with my beer). Those are my snacks. Even if I can't afford a can of nuts for everyone at the party, I buy some of those $.99 packs and put them in my pocket for when someone offers me some chips I can say, "No thanks, I'm good!!"

If you want a burger, don't hate yourself. Burgers are my #1 favorite food. What I do is make it exactly how I want it and cut it in half and either give the other half to my daughter or my husband if they are there with me, or offer to split with someone or THROW IT AWAY. That way you aren't even tempted to eat it. I have even been known to take my low carb tortillas with me and slice my burger to wrap it. Everyone knows I'm dieting and they can bite my butt if they don't like what I'm doing. lol I also carry my protein water and sweet and low in my purse that way I don't grab a soda.
