Question Q .. when should we stop?!

My dr. will keep prescribin phen till i get to where i NUMBER wise dont need it anymore..

but the thing is... okay back in july.. we had hard finances and i couldnt go to dr to get pills soooo i had to go it alone.. i still lost like 8 lbs that month which was great.. i did pretty good i didnt have major craving and still got in sum junk food lol... and i didnt GAIN which was great!

then like aug 2 or so.. i got script filled and i took them faithfully for like a wk and the past 2 wks ive skipped alot of days.. like 3 and 4 days in a row.. ive stil lost weight and ive went about my business...

do you think it could b possible that i could stop taking phen w/o reachin my goal first and still lose weight?! ive not had a pill in 3 days .. i still really dont have an appetite and my energys been okay...

i dunno.. my q is do u think i can do it ? lol... i guess i dont have time to think about eating.. school, kids school, daycare, gym, cleaning house, wifely times w/ hubby, babyshowers, weddings (yall know i love me sum weddings) softball practice.. (great workout) and general life.. i dont know how i have time to breath!

BTW... im doing the relay for life - breast cancer awareness this OCT... how do i ask ppl for donations... lol.. ive never really done anything like this and i dont wanna sound ilke im beggin for money... i have to raise 500 dollars for ppl to sponsor me sooo any suggestions in this area would GREATLY be appreciated!

If you want to try without meds then do it. If your weight stalls then you can go back on it for a boost in the right direction. You have lost alot of weight already so you have deffinately made some smart lifestyle changes. If you start to slip then get right back to the doctor and back on the meds!

YES YOU CAN DO IT WITHOUT DRUGS! As long as you keep your exercise up and your food intake down with the right foods, you can definitely do it. I've done it before. I'm not going to lie. It's HARD. But, I made it a point to go to the gym every morning (because the earlier you exercise before you eat, the more you burn) and I stayed on a strict list of foods to eat from with the right portions.

As for the Relay For Life. First of all, thank you for doing it. I did it every year for 5 years-even while I was going through chemo. I got people to donate by asking them to donate a dollar or more in the name of someone they knew who had died from cancer. I made what I needed just from my immediate family. I loved participating in The Relay for Life! We used to do it at the park by the river in my town. It was beautiful to see everyone carrying candles the first night. You're my shero for doing this!

Lastly, I just want to tell you that your UTube posting are awesome. It's very inspiring to go read all your progress. It also shows that you are committed and you're efforts are paying off. Makes me want to walk further, lift more, and get on UTube to see what you have to say next week!! I can't believe how far you have come. It's amazing to think you had a goal in MARCH and achieved it by AUGUST! YOU GO GIRL!

Well you are doing great with the continued loss without taking the phen on a regular. Shoot, after I stopped taking the phen, it took me over two months to drop the last 9 lbs. You dropped 8 lbs in a month without it, so I would say, you will be okay without it. I still have almost a month's supply left for maintenance, but I have not had to use it yet. Why not just keep some on reserve when you feel like you're losing control.

You CAN lose weight wthout phen. Others have done it......I think that if you are going to be as busy as you say you are going to be then there is no reason why you can't do this...It is entirely up to you and your physician to make the decision about when to stop. I don't think it has been as horrible as I though it would be....I mean, I don't want to eat anything that isn't nailed down.....but I guess I'm not a good example because I haven't been feeling well since I stopped.
