Unhappy Headaches.
Hey guys. Can anyone tell me when these headaches will subside? I know it's a common side effect, but it is miserable. However, I'm trying to wait it out. I really like this medicine. I feel like I'm watching the weight melt off. I've lost 5 lbs since Wednesday. That is just unbelievable. These headaches are just worrying me. And they are frightening my mother and grandmother a little bit. I thought it may just be my B.P. because it was running 148/97 at one point. However, my B.P. went back down to normal this evening, but I can't kick these headaches.

Any insight?

Angie

Hi Angie, the headaches wil subside eventually...not to say that they won't show back up some day
but, they will get tolerable or managable...I take Advil and it works great for me..You might try different
over the counter headache relief and see which one works best for you...
Good luck and don't give up..it gets better...

Hi Angie. I am having headaches also, as a matter of fact I woke up with one this morning. I have been on phen for 4 weeks and have had a headache every day for about a week. However, I have lost 17 pounds while taking it. I first thought it might be my blood pressure because I have been dizzy also for several days. However, I checked my BP last night and it was 119/69 so I dont think I can blame it on my BP! I think the dizziness is from my ear and the headaches are from the phen. In any case, I think the headaches will eventually subside. Hang in there...and good luck with your weight loss!

NEW SCALES ARE 5 LBS HIGHER THAN MY OLD ONES, SO I ADDED 5 LBS TO MY CURRENT & STARTING WT AS TO KEEP MY TOTAL LOSS CORRECT.

HW 1/1/2008 - 336; CW 11/20/08 - 210
TOTAL LOSS - 126 LBS!!

I still get headaches from it. I started taking 1/2 of the pill and now they're much better.

I think I had headaches on the 2nd day or 3rd..I dont remember but I don't get them anymore..the side effects usually dont stick around too long, b/c after a while ur body gets used to the phen.

WATER!!!!!!!!!!

The answer is increase your intake of WATER!!! It means that you are dehydrated!
Just when you think you've had enough water to drink, drink even more!!!

Not only will it help make the headaches go away, but it will also aid in weight loss!!!!
It will also help you to deal with the other crazy side effects of Phen!!!!

Best of luck!

I don't know about the water thing. I know everyone says it, but I drink a gallon to gallon and a half of water a day, and still get headaches. Think it's just a side effect that we have to live with.

Lost 9 lbs prior.

Me too! I thought it might be water, so I drank even more and the headaches are still there! Some are just more sensitive to the Phen i guess. Of course the last two times I took it I didn't have any problems w/ it!

I also thought mine was from BP. In the past it was high. NOPE! It was perfect! Better than it was before the Phen!

Thanks for the responses. You all are right. I definitely need to drink more water. It makes sense now. I am having a "hangover" type effect because I am dehydrated.

Thanks again! I am going to try to watch my water more carefully.

Water - Water and when you don't want another drop ... just drink more. UGH!
It should help or at least does most.

Good luck - they do seem to fade with time.

Even now ... all these months later, I'll get a headache if I don't have my water in.

I get headaches too, but I think they are from low bloodsugar, so I usually have a little something, like raisins or fruit of some kind and they go away. They are mild headaches, but just enough to irritate me, so a snack helps...
