OK ... I'm gonna do it!
*Takes a deep breath*
Okay, so I will be visiting my doctor next Tuesday to get started with Phen, and yesterday I started back with my Weight Watcher's points.
I was reading the "Body for Life" thread and went over to the BFL website. The Website seems pretty complete ... do I really need the book or is there sufficient information on the site to get my buns in gear? I have a gym at home that my hubby finished up for me in the beginning of the year (and I was doing good on working out *fairly* regularly), which includes a Bowflex, a Reebok treadmill and an AbLounger. From what I've read on the BFL website for exercising, what I have should do just fine.
Question though about the cardi workouts. With my treadmill, if I walk at a steady 3.0 miles per hour on a 1% incline, I start sweating within the first 10 minutes and sweat like crazy the whole time, and my heart rate is usually WAY up there (like in the 95% range) the whole time. How in the world would I start off so that I would be "warming up" and then steadily increase for those next few minutes (like without DYING) before holding a high point for one minute and then repeating the whole thing 5 times? I'm simply not as smart as I want to be when knowing how to gear up, hold steady, drop down before gearing back up and so on and so forth. Can anyone give me some advice when it comes to the cardio routine? Oh, I do have a Polar F6 heart rate monitor if that helps any.
Also, for those who have done/are doing the Body For Life thing - do you need to use their protein shakes, powders, bars, and snacks? I'm already broke enough, and having to pay the Dr. $225 for starting Phen PLUS the cost of the Phen itself is really more than I can afford as it is. I'm just hoping that the BFL supplements aren't integral to being able to achieve results.
*Takes another breath* Wow .... sorry, I didn't mean to rant like that, but I like going into something informed! Thanks ladies and I can't wait to see my Dr. on Tuesday (after payday ya know!).
