    Unhappy

I've been adding fiber supplements to my diet (mixed in my drinks and food)and I feel miserable this week plus I feel bloated and did not lose any weight. Have any of you experienced this and does it really help or should I just forget the supplements?

Call me crazy but I thought Fiber in your diet was to help you with your bowl movements if you became constipated lol I don't see why that would make you feel bloated then hmmmmm

My freind used to take fiber supplements and she had the same thing. She asked a doctor and he said that she needs to drink more water than normal, or the bloating will happen. Just thought I'd share.

I do try to drink a lot of water but nothing seems to help my stomach. Yep....fiber is supposed to help constipation but I'm not sure it is working correctly. I am going to check with my doctor about some other solution.

Ok, this may sound weird, but I read that if you're not drinking enough water and taking a lot of fiber, you're just making the problem worse. Make sure you're drinking tons of water... Also, have you tried upping your veggies and maybe eating some fiber cereal or bars? Food usually is the best supplement and has a lot more fiber in it. Try the Fiber One bars - They have 2 flavors and contain 9 grams of fiber! Also, you can get their cereal (Fiber One Honey Clusters is my absolute favorite) The cereal has 13g of fiber per serving. You can't find that in any supplement
Back on Phentermine after a slide and gain.

Constipation is a problem. I'm a few months away from graduating LPN school, so I'll tell ya what I learned so far. Water, water, water, exercise, fruit, veggies, high fiber foods, then if this is not working try taking a laxitive or powdered fiber supplement. If it is more then 3-4 days since your last bowel movement and these options do not work I'ld see your doctor. It could be a bowel obstruction. I would try to eat fruit and veggies and stay away from the protein a couple of days, protein can bind you up because it takes longer to go threw your system. I hope this helps.
