I thought I read somewhere that a doctor like this had been shut down. You may want to do a search, I saw something just the other day, but I would think someone like this wouldn't last very long before being shut down.

Sorry, but he is not allowed to dispense diet pills any longer. I recently received an email from him and he is going to fight it. He thinks he has a chance to continue, but, unless they change the laws, I don't see
Dr. Branch coming back. You will need to find a doctor and see him/her face to face.

I have recieved emails from him stateing that his online practice has been closed down by the DEA and is suppose to be in the process of trying to obtain his online license again! How this happened I don't know. But that is the reasson you couldn't get it... Some one reported him to the DEA and they investedgated him and shut him down ..

I don't understand how he feels he will be back online soon? Isn't what he was doing illegal?? Was he actually seeing you guys in his office? It is illegal to dispense Phen without a prescription obtained by a doctor, and you must have a valid doctor-patient relationship. Unless he is going to see everyone that orders it, he won't be able to make this legal. He could fill the prescription based on the ** you get from your local doctor... but why wouldn't one just go to the pharmacy for that? I think he is being a tad optimistic and perhaps not to clear on the new regulations?

I have used Dr Branch and I don't think he was doing anything illegal. It is the same thing they do at weight loss clinics and some of the Dr you see at weight loss clinics are not even Dr but PA (physician assistant). Dr Branch has a legal practice in Dallas and some have gone to his clinic. You have to fill out a form that is identical to the one you fill out when you go a weight loss clinic and he will have to approve it first before they can call in prescription for you.
I like him better than the stupid PA at the weight loss clinic I use to go to . He was very arrogant and his staffs were rude as hell because they have a bunch of ladies flocking their office for weight loss solutions. Dr Branch helped me cut out all the drama at that office. Before I learnt about Dr Branch, I went to another Dr and he wanted to charge me $150 for EKG , $100 for office visit and I have to sign up for one his meal plan options which I have to order from him.

But according to the FDA he is doing something illegal. The people never stepped foot in his office and there was no true doctor patient relationship (as defined by them) For those going to his clinic, he could still sell to legally if he keeps his license. He just can't illegally dispense them online. If your doctor gives him written approval, he can dispense them, otherwise, with the new laws in place, he can't and if he tries, they will just shut him down again and take away his license.

If the DEA is investigating and they know he has been prescribing over the internet, he will most likely not be able to write prescriptions for a controlled substance, which Phentermine is. If the state he practices in doesn't suspend his license to practice medicine and he no longer has capabilities to prescribe controlled substances, the best you can hope for over the net is a prescription for antibiotics. As a nurse of many years, I am really concerned about these physicians that so blatantly break the law for their monetary gain. This is ILLEGAL, UNETHICAL and just WRONG. Phentermine is a medication, with side effects and adversereactions. At the very least you should be seen be a doctor or nurse practitioner working with a physician for weights, blood pressures and heart rate checks (pulse) for abnormal heart rhythms once a month. My doctor performed a physical exam, took a good history and had me get a stress test (I am older than most of you, but in good health). There is nothing wrong with a doctor wanting you to have an EKG as a baseline prior to starting this drug. It is not an aspirin (even aspirins can have catastrophic side effects for some) and not something to be taken lightly and remember, Phen does not cause you to lose weight, it is a tool to assist in weight loss. We must change our eating and increase our activity. I know this is a redundant post and many have posted warnings about getting Phen online and not seeing a doctor. I am aware many of you do not agree with me, and you are all entitled to your opinions. In my opinion Dr.Branch and others doing the same, should at the very least lose their license to practice medicine. I probably feel so passionate about this issue because of all of the medical disasters I have seen in 35 years of nursing in the big city of Chicago where there have been many doctors practicing bad medicine and writing prescriptions for controlled substances without seeing the patients. It's all about the money for these creeps. I believe one of the first or second passages in the Hippocratic oath that a physician takes upon graduation is " First do no harm".Enough from me, sorry about my rant, I am passionate on this subject and I just can't keep my opinion to myself any longer.

If you can afford to pay for EKG, blood work etc just to get a phen prescription, then goodluck to you. Most people can not, but they still need phen right. My point is that he is not doing anything different from what a bunch of weight loss clinics I have visited in Houston are doing. Some of them take only your blood pressure, weight and ask you to wait for the doctor (which is mostly a PA). Most of the time , they have so many patient that the PA barely spends 1 mins with the patient, just to hand you the prescription. When phen was available online, millions of people were getting it over the internet and nothing happened to them. Dr Branch doesn't send you phen, he calls in prescription to your local pharmacy. The pharmacist should be able to dictate any interaction based on medication history they have on file. I still think it is better than getting phen over the internet.
