Arrow Frustrated
I've been working my butt off 2-3 hours a day 6 days a week. I really haven't changed my eating habits. Don't get me wrong, I want to, but I have no clue on what is the right things to eat. My weight loss journey is suffering because of my lack of knowledge in the kitchen. Normally, I would be happy that the scale is stable instead of seeing the pounds creep back on. Instead, I'm so freakin frustrated. Not only has my weight stalled out but the inches aren't coming off anymore. I've changed up my exercise, and still nothing. This stall has got the last of my nerves for the past 2 1/2 months. Encouraging words, someone that's been through this situation, cooking/eating advice....all is welcome.

Thanks,

Malleta

I don't know if I should be the one giving out advice or anything, being that there are far more women on here that has lost tons of pounds, however, I honestly have just started watching calorie intake and saturated fat intake a day. I try to stay anywhere between 1200-1500 Calories a day, usually within the 1200 range, and I try not to take in anymore than 7 grams of saturated fat (hence the name..it's the FAT that sticks to you). I also drink lots of water and V8 Splash (70 cals) and I've cut out drinking sodas, period.

I honestly haven't started an exercise regime yet, and I'm really trying to get on the ball with that, for I feel I will see better results.

All in all, I eat what I want to, I just try not to eat any fried foods/fast foods/junk food. They have been my enemy for wayyyyy tooooo long..lol.... I started baking everything I eat, when I'm hungry and want to snack I eat fruits.....and adding vegetables to any diet is always helpful.

I hope I've helped in some way or another. I heard other on here say to switch up from time to time. Change your regime a little.

Good Luck with your weight loss.

Also, KUDOS...or any other company that sells granola bars usually have those bars that are 70 calories or less. I buy those for my sweet tooth. I'm a sweets lover.......If you also have a Wild Oats Market or Whole Foods Market in your town, they sell natural and organic foods and I buy chocolate chip cookies from there and chips as well, and they're actually quite tasty..lol....much to my surprise.

Also, are you taking a MULTI-VITAMIN with the Phen?? I take that to replenish anything I feel as if I'm not getting on a daily basis. I take it with the Phen.

Okay, enough of my rambling........let some of these experts enlighten you and I, both..lol....so, I can see some more results.....

I love these ladies!!

Hey, any encouraging words help. I don't really eat fried foods/take out all that often. They are my guilty pleasures, but never really felt the need to indulge in them. My sweet tooth is what gets me down. I've cut all the sweets out over the past couple of weeks. Hoping that would spark some kind of fire under my butt. As far as drinks, I've solely been drinking water ever since I started phen. It's definitely just a pain in my rear end to know that a stall can last this long. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it'll be over soon. Guess it's time to look around and check out some cook books.

Maybe take a few days off of the phen. Keep doing everything else, just stop taking your pill for a week or so. Sometimes that can help.

WELL IF YOUR NOT EATING WRITE THAN IT WONT MATHER IF YOUR WORKING OUR TAKING THE PHEN, YOU NEED A PLAN.

1. START BY CUTTING BACK YOU CALORIE IN TAKE TO ABOUT 1,200 TO 1,300 A DAY.
2. WATER WATER, FOR SOME REASON IT MAKES THE PHEN REALLY WORK.
3 CUT OUT THE CRAPY FOODS.

YOU KNOW WHAT YOU SHOULD AND SHOULD NOT BE EATING.

SO GOOD LUCK . i KNOW YOU CAN DO IT.
If you want to impress anyone, you must FIRST be impressed with yourself.

Well that's the thing...At the most, I'm only consuming about 1100 calories a day. The water is no issue, that part comes easy for me. I don't consume milk, I'm allergic to it, also am taking a multi vitamin. Like I said above, not really any fried foods/take outs. For instance, I only eat out about 1 time a month. The only thing that I eat that a lot of people on here don't is bread, but I don't go overboard with it. I mean, I'm really banging my head against a wall on this one. My mom just moved out, she was doing a lot of the cooking, so now I need to get a cookbook for more dish options. I exercise 6 days a week 2-3 hours a day.

I'm thankful that ya'll are suggesting things. I just don't know what I'm doing wrong. If I think that a certain food would be a no no, then I don't eat it. I know the basics of plenty of protein, veggies, fruit, and water. It's like everything that was working before, just isn't working now.

This is where the frustrated part comes in. It all seems like it would add up to the weight shedding off. I've heard people say that there is no such thing as a stall, just people not working as hard as they should. If need be, I'll up my work out time. 2 hours a day with toddlers in the home is hard to schedule in now, but if I figured out time to do that then finding another hour in there shouldn't be hard.

Once again thanks girls!!!

Keep the suggestions coming on in.

You definitely want to make sure that you're cutting back on calories. Lean meats (chicken, fish, tuna fish) protein (nuts, edamame, soy), whole grains (not white bread, beans), vegetables (not corn or carrots but real veggies like broccoli, cauliflauer, salads with spinach and greens not just iceberg letttuce), and not too much sodium (pre made food has TONS of sodium which makes you retain water).

Also, let's discuss your workout. You are working out 2-3 hours 6 days a week? That's a LOT of time spent working out. I have found when people are spending that long working out they aren't woking out right.

Where's your heart rate at during this 2-3 hours? are you at 80% of your target heart rate? (google heart rate to find a calculator). I see many people who go to the gym and claim they are "working out" when they are barely moving. If your heart rate is not in the target zone for your age, you won't be burning nearly as many calories. If you don't have a heart rate monitor either use the one on the machine at the gym or buy one for home use!

My heart rate on average is 163 during my workouts. I use salt on almost everything, so that could be an issue. I never stopped and thought about salt making you retain water. Water retention runs in my family. (no offense to anyone) I feel like a dumb blonde. I'll get some of the Mrs. Dash no sodium seasonings, that way I can still feel like there is some taste.

I personally cut out all refined carbs, eat high fiber foods, no saturated fat.. Unfortunatley you probably need to cut out the sweets altogether, try replacing them with an adkins bar or something similar with good carbs and low sugar content.. the south beach peanut butter bars are to dye for!

I know how you feel. I could not eat any food and just eat sweets and I would be in hog heaven. I've tried a few things and a really good snack for a sweet tooth is 100cal. snack Keebler Gras******rs and a Hunt's Chocolate Sugar free pudding cup. It tastes divine!
