Default im rededicating myself again!
well I havent put my all into this whole diet thing. I got my refill for phen today and unless I can show some effort, I will make this my last refill. Why? because I am wasting money on phen(that is not cheap) but im not doing my part. I could be putting it to better use. Soooo Im rededicating myself and im going to try my hardest to stay on track. Im not saying something sweet every once in a while. But I going to make myself accountable for it and realize to get it I have to give alittle more.

Does this makes sense?

Hey!!

That totally makes sense. Unfortunately I know that story way to well. I cant even begin to count the times that I have spent money on diet products to just not follow thru with it. But since I have been taking Phen, I do have hope. I am not constantly starving like I was on previous diets. That is a huge plus for me. I make myself accountable by keeping a food journal. I write down everything I eat, that way I know exactly how much I am eating. I still take it one day at a time. The big picture is way too much for me to deal with right now.

Just keep at it, there are great people on here for support.

I totally know what you mean. When I first started this "weight loss journey", I was so enthusiastic and actually enjoyed eating right and exercising everyday. I think after my first vacation back in May, I just got lax and started eating whatever and exercising whenever. I've got to do better. I see all of you guys just melting away and I feel like I'm ballooning back up. I've got to play catch-up....LOL.

I have recently re-discovered this little gem hidden in my brain:
One decision at a time.
I don't have to think about losing the next 20 lbs, the next ten lbs, the next 5 lbs, or even the next 1 lb.
I simply have to make a conscious decision when I am faced with choices.
When will I exercise today?
Am I hungry or munchy?
Do I want to be healthy or pick at the pie?

I'm also re-discovering the pause. If I pause for a few measly seconds when I am reaching for food and take a deep breath, it gives me a moment of clarity to clearly ask myself, "Why do you want that?"
Those few beautiful seconds keeps me from doing what I don't want to do and keep me heading where I want to go.

I've been piddling with 3 lbs back and forth for months. I got so frustrated that I was allowing things to slip by without truly being aware of what I was doing. I snapped back into alertness Saturday morning when I got on the scale and saw not only those 3 dang pounds again, but one more added! Ahhhhh!

Since Saturday morning, I started taking my phen again, have paid attention to what I'm sticking in my face, made conscious decisions about what I am doing and I lost that one pound and ditched those 3 I've been messing around with, too.

You can do this! One decision at a time, you can make this happen for good!

It's too bad we live so far away otherwise I would bug you EVERYDAY. I's randomly stop by and raid your fridge for garbage and make you jog with me every single day. You would have no choice but to get your butt in gear. Either that or get a restraining order...LOL.

aww thanks insearchofme. As im typing, im waiting for my best friend to finish getting ready so we can go for our 2nd 3 mile walk. Im trying to dedicate myself to do that at least 4x a week. She is a choregoropher and promo model, so she is working for the Essence Festival here. If things work out she will be staying. Whats weird though she thinks she is fat but she is like 140lbs but she says in the model world that is fat. To me she is crazy and in the best shape. Its funny because I have to motivate here to not pig out and she has to motivate me. Dosent always work but im trying.

anyways you are an inspriation, and thank you for the motivatinal words.

It's funny how we view ourselves. I always thought I was kinda fat too when I was about the same weight. I think we get too caught up in what the media says is beautiful and allow it to impact us in a negative way.

I am glad that you have someone nearby who is supportive of your efforts. That is always a huge plus. My husband is very supportive, but he has no idea what it actually feels like to be overweight so I really rely on this site for true insight and wisdom. Like I said, take it one day at a time. It was not until I stopped looking at having to lose 100lbs, that I was able to lose the first 1lb and now over 50. So take baby steps, you will get there.

Yes babydoll, it makes total sense......I feel the same way myself. Unless i'm doing my part there is no reason to take the phen. I am currently not taking it because of all that is going on in my life but when things settle down I am going to rededicate myself like you are and make a go of it with the last of my phen...then it is no more phen for me.

It's funny because before Phen, I would start on a diet, but by noon on the same day I would mess up. Start again the next day, mess up by noon. With the exception of one day when I ate about ten bags of 100 cal. snacks, that hasn't happened.(That was on a Sat.and I don't take Phen on the weekends.) I think Phen has helped me stay on track. Nevertheless, don't give up! We can all do it!

Justkim, I had to laugh when you said the 100 calorie packs..i did the same dang thing one day..portin control doesn't work with me if its something i'm addicted to, like Fritos.
