I went to Kohls yesterday and did some shopping. I realized after I got home, that they did not charge me for 2 shirts I bought.

So today - I run them back up there ... I go to customer service and the lady asks if I have a return
Me: "actually I do"
So I proceed to tell her - " I was here yesterday and did some shopping, however - these 2 particular blouses are for a present - soooooo I went to package them up and include the receipt in the event she needed to return them - however, I was not charged for these 2. So I'm bringing them back"

Clerk "So are you returning / exchanging them or what?"

Moi (smiling but catious of idiots) "Indeed - I did not pay for them, they are yours"

Clerk "I need your receipt"

Me " They are not listed on my receipt - I did not pay for these. But if you'd like to still see it you can" (thinking they'd want to know what cashier goofed so they could ask her to be more careful or whatever it is they do)

Clerk - "so what do you want to do?"

Me "I WANT to see your manager please"

Clerk "fine"

So we are waiting ...
I feel the heat rising in me ... telling self "Self it's the Phen, just breathe"
So I smile to her and can't help myself but to say " I hope you have a better day"

Clerk - "My day is GREAT - but some people make it difficult"

Me "Hate it when that happens"

Clerk "YOU are the one that is making it difficult"

Me - "If you thought I was difficult before .......................

Up walks the manager.

The manager does NOT look at me just to her employee.

Clerk "Yeahhhh this lady - has issues with me, these shirts, she doesn't have her receipt she really needs YOU to deal with her"

Manager "What can I do for you?"

Same story as above .. didn't mention the idiot.

Manager - GOD AS MY WITNESS " So are you wanting to exchange them or return them?"

Me: "You both took the same customer service class I see - let's start again
Since I didn't buy these blouses - I wanted just to bring them back - NOTHING MORE"

Manager - What would you like me to do for you today?"

Me: "Nothing difficult ...................
(she interrupts me)

Manager " Would you like me to hold these while you get another size?"

Me "No I would like for you to call who YOU report to"

Manager " certainly" Then she rolls her eyes at the clerk.

So we wait.

Call rec'd he can't come up right then .... so I say, "I'll wait" she repeats what I say to him.

He shows up in one minute.

I said "Got a minute?" with almost a defeated laugh.

Now THIS man is awesome. So I tell him my story - adding I thought it was such a SIMPLE story.
He nods - is thanking me, apologizing, never had this happen, you threw us a curve, and thanked me again.

I said " I wish I could just shut up right now, and had I been treated half the way you just did - I would have been gone 20 minutes ago. BUT I feel like I need to share with you the conversations and attitudes of your staff.

Man "Please do"
Me" Thank you - it will help me feel better " and I just laugh.

So I told him what occured WITH THEM STANDING right there - I said Please correct me if I'm wrong.
They both look down.
I told him I felt like I was in the twilight zone instead of the CS dept of Kohls. He was COMPLETELY agreeable.

So I (phen induced) look at them, and said "this is customer service you sould "listen" better. But it's not my job to train you - I've already done my own shift of that job"

Clerk - "You still don't make sense"

Me to Man - "She's still in probabation isn't she?" Man to clerk " Please go to the breakroom"
Clerk to man "Because of HER?" (however not leaving)

Me to Man "See, she doesn't listen & with that being said and obvious ... I'll leave, because it's boring to talk about the obvious"

HE GETS IT, he and I are good - I walk away.

Man to clerk "Please go to the breakroom - I'll be there in a minute"

Clerk: "Wait, I'm not going to be wrote up because of her stealing clothes"
(she YELLS this)

PHEN RAGE NOT IN CHECK and I turn around.

It's absolutely my pleasure knowing that you are going to be terminated. I know you will find something more suited for you .... anything that calls for uneducated, lacking manners and poor english skills ... will be right up your alley. You'll excel.
I just left you in a puddle of your worthless self and you don't even know it .. dang, I wasted my time ...

Clerk " B i t c h "

Me: " Oh maybe I under estimated you - maybe you do understand what I just said"

She stomps off.

Me (to the man) I'm embarrassed, I feel like I just got drug down to the depths of her form of existance.
Hope your ends better than this. Sorry.

Man - No, I'm the one that is truly sorry - I'm So sorry ma'am, but NOTHING I say is going to make this any better for you.

And I just walked away.

I know it was a bad experience for you girl, but that is the best story I've heard in a while! I am SO glad you had the balls to keep going up the chain and tell that guy what happened. Dalako - I laugh A LOT at stuff like this, because it's so comical. Normally makes people even go off more.

Scat - I blame Phen, I normally always am in control. Even w/ idiots ... they are easy. LOL

Benson - Honestly - NEVER does poor behavior to me feel good. The only thing that felt good was telling the guy I was sorry and his face of complete understanding, justified to me, it was NOT me that was losing my mind. (on Phen sometimes I question that)
