Default My first week weigh in
So I went to the clinic today to get my first weigh in since I started last Wednesday..

I've lost 8lbs! And thats with about 1.5 hours of exercise (just moved in with the boyfriend yesterday so I have been EXTREMELY busy) I'm really happy with my progress. I am eating very healthy and learning portion control. Except today I had about 10 min to grab lunch and mcdonalds was there.. I got a fruit and yogurt parfait and a double cheeseburger, but I only ate half (whereas before I would order 2, plus fries). I am also going to try to get my exercise up to at least 4 hours starting this weekend.

I got a month's prescription so I will have to see how I feel after that, might try the two weeks off thing to see how I can handle my cravings and appetite without the meds. Hopefully, I can ween myself to every other day for another month then completely be on my own.

I did think I lost more weight though, according to my home scale I lost 10lbs.

Anyway, I just thought I would share my progress with everyone! =)

that's awesome! great job....i remember how i felt at my first weigh in! i couldn't believe how much i lost in one week.....i was like is this possible?! here's some unasked for advice.....when you go to mcdonald's try getting just a regular cheeseburger instead of a double cheeseburger. even though you only ate half....that is GREAT! but......this whole thing is really a mind game. you can get a regular cheeseburger, eat the entire thing which satisfies your mind that is saying "eat the whole thing!" and it's the same thing as eating HALF of a double cheeseburger, know what i'm saying? i know a regular cheeseburger and a double are like the same price....it took me awhile to get out of the "more for your money" mindset, but now that i have i am way less tempted. just a suggestion! keep up the good work!

Eight pounds in one week is fantastic. I have noticed that my Dr's scale is sometimes "off" too. Since starting there have been a few times that my home scale and the Dr's scale was the same, so I know for sure the problem is not my scale..lol. Anyway, congrats on your loss. Keep it up.
