Hello kind ladies, This Wed. was my 3 check up with the doctor, and I just loose 2 lbs, and at first I was all motivated because I los 11.5 the first week, then 2.5 more the following week, and now 2.5 again. The Dr. says that it is a good thing that I am loosing and not gaining weight, but I feel like I am putting alot of effort, well not alot because I havent had a chance to excercise, but you know cleaning the house and all the shores around thats some excercise, but no I havent gone to the Gym, I wish the weight loss can be fast, but I understand it is not a miracle pill, so I hang in there, sometimes I feel like I am a disaster because I dont have will power like you guys, but your comments have helped alot. I've heard it said, it's better to lose it slow. I KNOW It's aggravating, but averaging 2lbs a week is really awesome.

Keep on doing what you are doing - it will all come together.

And I personally have no will power, well yes I do it comes in a bottle and it's name is "PHEN"

You don't want to lose it too fast. When I was on WW they said only strive to lose 2-3lbs a week. That is what is considered healthy. Also as you lose weight your calorie untake should change based on your weight. Set a goal weight, the day you hope to accomplish it by and go from there. I use www.fitday.com It has an online journal, calorie counter and and tells you what you need to lose each wek to reach your goal. I think if you had something like that when you did make those marks you would feel like you've accomplished something. Keep up th good work.

Your doing great.....2lbs a week is WONDERFUL. It is a healthy amount to lose and you will have better luck taking it slow so you can RE-learn how to eat properly and get your exercise in.

Lets face it. It took more than 2 weeks to get fat, and it will take a long time to get it off. Plus, if you say lost all your weight, 40-60lbs in 1-2 months...would you really have learned to eat proper? Or would you just gain it back and start all over because your body didnt learn?

Keep up the great work and get that exercise in there!

Don't be discouraged. It takes time..and I agree losing super fast is not the best..Plus the harder we work to get this fat off..the harder we work to keep it off-LONG TERM! Phen is just an assistant but we do all the work-PHYSICAL, MENTAL, EMOTIONAL, ETC..Its more rewarding the hard way---Keep moving forward to the finish line..and if you slow down..drop by this forum to get some support:-)

Lili I think your doing great for this being your 3rd week (I think I read that correctly)...You could be in my situation, I've only lost 15 lbs and its going to be almost my 2nd month. LOL but I only have myself to blame for that which is why I can laugh at it.
Just continue taking your phen,eating healthy,and exercising and slowly but surely it'll come off. GOODLUCK

Lilli, hang in there. You are doing great. I am in the exact same boat as you. I've been on this 3 weeks and lost 12 lbs the first week, 9 the second week, and suddenly I'm at only 2lbs this week. I didn't eat anything different then when I started the program, and I exercise 3 times a week. On one hand I am frustrated, but on the other I know that even 2lbs is a lot. It is unhealthy to continue to lose large amounts of weight every week. From what I have read, when your body burns the fat, it creates a byprodct of ketones that can build up in your system and make you sick. Especially if one doesn't drink enough water to flush the ketones out of the body. That being said, I would imagine that if we were to continue losing so much weight every week, we could possibly get sick. Just think of it as being 2.5 lbs lighter than last week! That is great no matter how you look at it!!

Hi,
Two pounds a week is great, it adds up. I am at a stand still and did not take my phen all week on purpose to see if maybe "something" kicks in. Took it today, have not been out of my home cleaning etc. so my eating was so so however the scale put 2 pounds on me this morning so I am not happy (with myself)

You know the old saying, "It took awhile to get here, will take awhile to lose it".

Hey I have a thought. Do you have a body fat scale? If not, you might think about looking into it. Sometimes a small loss for the week or even a gain could really just be you getting more musclular, which is a good thing! I know EXACTLY what you mean about all that house work. Lord, it takes me 3 hours just to vacuum and sweep and mop the floors,,, and that just 1 of a hundred things that have to be done around here.There are days I feel like a Cinderella that is never going to make it to the ball (aka gym, park, wherver I am supposed to go workout).So yes, I think that is exercize for you. But you also have to make some time for yourself, because YOU are important and without YOU , your house, your kids, all of it, would fall apart.,, so YOU should be the first chore that you do every day, knowing that none of the other chores are as important as a happy healthy YOU.

Yes, I know it can be frustrating. We all have days that we don't see the scale move. It sounds like you are doing great. People lose weight at different rates as well. don't worry, you'll get there. Just remember if you fall get back up and that losing weight at a slower rate will keep it off. Congrats on your weight loss so far.
