Angry Feeling/ noticing the weight?
Hey everyone!

I've been on Phen now since Tuesday and I'm coming up on my first weight in next tuesday.

I'm just wondering...when did you start noticing you lost weight?

I mean, most people lose like crazy the first week and I'm nervous because I'm not really noticing a difference at all yet...my pants feel like they fit the same to me?

Should I be worried?

Sarah

Dont worry about it, if your doing what the Dr. said, and a little of excercise, you will loose it, drink alot of water, youll feel really thirsty and drinking water helps...Good luck on your Journey!

Don't worry everyone looses differently. I only lost 6lbs in a month, and I'm still happy with that, better than not loosing any! Good luck

I also started on Tuesday. The scale shows I've lost 4 lbs, but I don't feel any difference in my clothes yet. I know we are all excited to see results, but I'm sure they will come if we stick with it. Good luck to you!

it takes time to "feel" it. Your body needs to "adjust" how it is. Not only that....the heavier you are the more you will have to lose to see/feel it. This is because the weight is spread out over a larger area. There is a FABULOUS post about a roll of paper towels on here I will see if I can find it...because the analogy that went with it was PERFECT.

OK HERE IS WHAT IT SAYS:

Quote:
Found this on another site,
"Here's a little inspiration for those of you who are worried about not seeing any changes in your bodies so far. It's what I call the Paper Towel Theory.

Let's assume you go out and buy two rolls of paper towels, each with only 84 sheets on it. You put one aside, and keep it for future reference (it will be your "before" picture.) The other represents you (I'll call your Paper Towel You, "Ed.") The cardboard core represents the lean Ed. The towels represent the fat that is covering the lean Ed. For the sake of argument, let's say that Ed wants to lose 21 pounds of fat, so (84/21) each sheet represents a quarter-pound of fat lost. Let's also assume that Ed loses his fat equally during each of 84 days (1 for each paper towel sheet.)

Each day during the first week, you tear a sheet off of Ed, representing the fat he has lost for the day. Next, you put Ed next to the untouched full roll ("Big Ed") for comparison (that's why you need 2 rolls.) No noticeable difference! Even at the end of the week! This can't be working for me, say you!

But, being a good Ed, you continue to follow your diet plan, your new way of life. At the end of weeks two and three, you continue to compare Ed to Big Ed, and still notice very little difference.

But Ed is determined! He works hard! Three more weeks go by, the sheets peeling off day after day, before Ed gets up the courage to stand next to Big Ed again. Holy Nonfat Cottage Cheese! Ed is skinny! Ok, not skinny, but less huge!

By the end of 12 weeks, Ed is down to his lean dream, or somewhere near it or on the way to it. Ed is happy. We are happy. Big Ed - well, he's not so happy.

The lesson to be learned is that fat, like paper towels, comes off in sheets. When you are heavy, you are big around. And when you are big around, that fat is spread over a MUCH larger area - just like that outside towel sheet. The closer you get to the lean you, the more each lost pound of fat shows, because it is spread over a smaller area.

While the outside sheet may only cover 1 layer of the roll, the inside sheet may go around 4 times! That last sheet looks like it gives you 4 times the results of the first sheet, but in reality, the results are the same -- your perception is just different! And you'll never see the inside, if you aren't patient while the outside is coming off."

I wouldn't worry too much. Everyone loses at different paces. Just keep doing what you are doing and eventually it will come off. Slow and steady wins the race!!

I know it's hard to do everything the doctor says. But phen isn't magical! It requires diet and excersie the phen helps with your energy levels and appetite so you eat to live you don't live to eat. I have dropped 12 pounds in the last 12 days and I notice a liiiitle in the first week. But not too much. Give it atleast 20-30 pounds before you start peaking for big differences. I am starting the see the bones in my lower leg, my collar bone and my "back fat" is disappearing. Just don't worry if you can't feel it yet just do what your doc says. Water, good foods, and MORE water. I swear by it. I drink 10 20-oz bottles a day.

August 2007: 260
February 2008: 216
May 8 2008: 225.2- Started Phen!
May 10 2008: 217.2

Week 1 Checkup : May 15 2008: 213.8 (-11.4 pounds!)
Week 2 Checkup: May 21 2008 207.2 (- 6.6 pounds!)
