It's AWESOME! Love it! I could write a book but ohhhhhhhhhh a few hundreds already have. LOL

But this is the CON - in my experience - Low Carb is a lifestyle - so chose wisely. Going off of low carb packs the weight back on and then some.

To me the good far out weighs the bad (no pun intended) and w/ what I've learned over the years, I still follow a Low Carb regimine but try to balance it out with portion control.

When picking a way of eating - just be sure it's something you can do long term. For example: My darling husband said 'Hey I want to do LC with you" Sureeeeeeeeee - but in two days he said "What I can't have my chips? (and dip) you know I like my chips and dip as a snack ...................................... "

So for him, LC is not an option heaven forbid he forgo his chips.
My best girl friend a french fry & baked potato junkie - NOT going to give them up, therefore LC not for her etc.

South Beach is a safe middle ground vs. Atkins is more strict.

South Beach was not bad...Atkins like to have killed me. Although once you eliminate carbs or decrease them alot... if you start eating them again you may gain the weight back so be careful eliminating too many. You know what I did...I started to research good carbs verses bad carbs. I tried to keep the good carbs because they help burn calories and I just watched my intake. After researching it, I found out that carbs are not BAD for you. It's just carbs can be easily stored as glucose which will turn into fat if you are not working out. Which ever diet you choose good luck though.

That was sooo me. I was doing great all day, then we went to Outback for dinner and my husband said, "Oh, I guess you can't have the Aussie fries, huh?". I was like, forget it. I'll have the Aussie fries.

Low carb diets dont work, and they make you have zero energy and they make your breathe smell terrible. NOt to mention when you add carbs back in the weight comes flying back. Just make sure you eat good carbs. On any package make sure the grams of carbs are at least double the grams of sugar. This way you know you are getting the good carbs. Yes there is such thing as good carbs. Your body needs a well balance of carbs, protein, and fats to to make your body a well oiled machine or as I like to call it a fat burning machine. I look at every package before I eat anything and if it does not follow the carb rule or the protein rule I dont eat it. Make sure your protein grams are at least double the fat grams. Hope this helps/
