yepp 1 woman got them in her thighs because she wanted some of the fat gone... the fat left... but so did some of her skin. it ate the fat away and then ate her skin. Another one got them in her stomach and ended up havin a softball sized lump in her stomach.

their not FDA approved even though the clinics and places say they are. and you can never be too sure what the clinics put in their shots.

i was upset after seein that because i was thinking about getting some. but im glad i saw it also.

I watched the same show and Libby is right it left these women scared to death, it was horrible.....

i looked at the article and that isn't the same thing that you get at the clinic. what i get is called lipo-vite injections....and they are only $20 a shot, not 2,000 or 4,000 and you don't get six at a time in your stomach or thighs....it's one shot a week from a needle, not those things that were on the article.

Last year I decided to invest in "lipo shots" or what its called in clinics -- mesotherapy. My reaction to them is a bit mixed, but overall, positive. For one thing, they are MUCHO expensive, the time involved in each session is pretty extreme (3-4 hours usually), the soreness afterwards feels like liposuction (which i have had too...jeez) and the effect is cumulative, meaning you will need more than one session to see results. HOWEVER, after saying all that, I will say that after 5 sessions of what they call 'full body" (from my tummy to my knees in front and my back to my knees in back) there was NOTICEABLE inprovement in the reduction of cellulite (we took pics and it was astounding, really) and now, after a year, it is still really good. Sure I still have some cellulite, a small amount, but none of the extreme look I had this time last year. Sooooo.....I believe if you find a reputable clinic with a DOCTOR who administers the injections (approximately 600 injections per session....not for babies who hate needles) and who creates a formula for your particular situation, it DOES work...and other than soreness I had no bad side effects. Just my $3,800 worth (yeah, thats what 5 sessions cost me...still cheaper than lipo on the same body surface mass)...but I lost no weight with the injections, if you're wondering. That part is still up to me, and me alone, it seems. Sigh...grumble grumble.

Despreciada, which shot were you talking about? I am taking a B6 and a B12/lipo shot once a week and have been on them for almost 2 months now. The shot that i take is to help your body to not absorb the fat from the food you eat. I go to a Dr. weekly and i get my weight checked and have my blood pressure checked. The other type of lipo shot is not FDA approved and can hurt you. Before i started my shots, i checked everything out. I hope that whatever you do you check it out and go to a certified Dr. to get it done. Good luck in your quest.

These are the kinds of shots i get, too. one shot in the hip once a week. what was on that documentary was something called lipo dissolve and it's a series of shots that's thousands of dollars....it's not the regular lipo-vite shots that they offer at the phen weight loss clinics. if it is i guess i'm missing something...like thousands of dollars in bills, and 599 shots!

how long have you been taking these shots? I was so sceptical when my sister-in-law asked did i want to go with her. I read everything i icould find on the subject. The first thing i found was about the lipo-dissolve, and i told her she was crazy; of course that didn't sit well. lol. but the more i researched the better it sounded. The dr. also gave me Adapex and that is how i found this site. So far i am down 15 pounds! I have 5 more to go before i reach my first mini goal. When i get there it will be the first time that i will be below 200 in 6 years. I have a few health challenges and the stories that i read on here and the insperation that comes from just reading about everyone is almost overpowering.

that's what i get....5 shots for $80...they aren't the same thing that the documentary was about. don't worry.

I am so glad that it is not the others. I pay $14 a week at the Dr. and get the two shots, 1 B6 and 1 B12/Lipo. I can tell a diffrence in my size better than in the weight.

yeah...it's supposed to make you lose inches and not necessarily weight....but i have lost 14 pounds in three weeks and the only thing i get is the shots...no phen. but i also eat REALLY well and walk on the treadmill as often as i can. the dr. was really impressed with my weight loss today. she said a lot of people come in and say that the shot isn't working. i said "yeah, that's probably the people that think they can eat pizza and drink coke since they're getting a shot." she laughed. it must be true..cus i eat well...and it's working for me. i mean, i would lose weight without the shot because of everything else i'm doing, but i've eaten and exercised exactly the same as i am now and never lost this much, this fast before. so, i give the shot some credit.
