Default 6- Week Body Makeover Plan

I just read the fantastic results Dalako, had on her latest meal plan, and it reminds me of the 6-Week Body Makeover plan. I purchsed the plan several years ago, and never really followed it for more than a few days. I was just wondering if any of you guys have tried this, and if so, what your results have been.

I think I may give it another go starting Sunday.

Not me. It's really hard, I think, to stick with a strict diet like this when you have kids and a husband, unless they all agree to eat what's on the plan. Don't you think, or is it just me being pessimistic?

I ordered it a couple of years ago also. It REALLY does work...if you follow it. That was my problem. My first six weeks right after I purchased the program I lost 25 lbs on it. I weighed in at 219 lbs and then just stopped. No real reason, except that I didn't want to do the program anymore. And of course the weight piled back on. I have tried it a few times since then and I will do really well on it for a few weeks, then I get bored with the plan. It's very restrictive. The forum has probably a gazillion recipes on it, but even then eventually all the food starts to taste the same. And I know that realistically I could not follow it for the rest of my life. Others can, and do--and they have FANTASTIC results. So for now, I'm counting calories and really well, and I know that if I hit a plateau then I can resort to that program for a week and give myself a jump start. I would encourage anyone to give it a try. Just cause I can't stick with it doesn't mean that everyone can't, and for those that can...you won't be disappointed.

So it's not like unrealistic foods, like tofu and bean sprouts? That's the kind of stuff my husband would flip out with.

LOL---not at all. Did you read Dalako post... how she broke her plateau??? It sounds exactly like a typical day.

It's just regular food: egg whites, grapefruit, tuna, chicken, turkey, rice, greens, mixed veggies. Not bad at all. I just pulled out my package if you're interested in giving it a try let me know. I can give you more details.

Well crap....I just looked it up on eBay and I didn't know you have to exercise too....forget it!

haa haa. Sure, I am interested. Actually, my husband has now been talkiing about how he is gaining weight. Maybe he would be game for it!

And God knows I need to help the kids out too. They are starting to get chunky, as well.

    LOL--

I am going to drop my daughter off at preschool now, but if you go to the site and find out your body type, I can give you the meal plean. You have to answer a bunch of questions (not sure how many), but your meal plan is based upon your answers.

too strict for me, and no salt, i really couldnt deal with that. I think to use the basic outline may work though. ex (breakfast is protein + fruit, snack protein + fruit etc)

Insearchofme: I did follow the work out plan--actually I am using it now too. It takes about 18 minutes twice a week to do them--and that with some cardio is all you need.

If anyone is interested, I have a cheat sheet of the eating plan that lists all of the allowed foods from the program's Infinite Menu Planner. Send me a PM with your email address and I will be happy to email it to you, along with the basic "rules of the program".

It's sad that I do not know this, but is that what you are instructed to do, workout twice a week with the body sculpting dvd??? What type of cardio did you do, how much, and how often.

    Thanks Julebug~

LOL--- I think I lasted three days, went back to work and just could not find the time to get in all the meals. I do remember that I lost 10lbs, and NEVER gained it back.

You guys have got me super excited about starting this program again, and for real this time. Wanna start on Sunday with me?

Insearchof: After you blueprint your body, you will go to the section in your book called My Custom body sculpting Plan. You find the cards that match up with the numbers on your body blueprint. For example mine is 5 for my upper body, 6 for my mid body, and 4 for my lower body. In the Custom Body Sculpting Plan section there is a number at the right hand corner of each page that tells you if it goes with your body type or not--For each section of your body find the numbers that coincide. The book will tell you what each exercise does and the proper way to do it. I didn't use my video at all, just my book. Michael Thurmond says that the problem with most sculpting plans is that you do exercises that are not effective your body type, and that when you are doing the RIGHT exercises then Less is More...so twice a week is all he recommends. As far as cardio, the program says you should try to do 45-60 minutes 4-5 times a week. It suggests paced walking, slow jogging or riding a stationary bike. The walking has always been easiest for me. I confess I only walk about three times a week though. I should step that up

I don't know if I am just lazy...or dumb...or what, but I cannot seem to make myself follow a meal plan. Maybe I am just a rebel at heart.

I admire you guys because I have tried and can't follow one!

I haven't tried this one, I don't know much about it to be honest. Do you have to eat the same thing all the time? That is what usually gets me, after like 2 days I am like, I CAN'T EAT THE TUNA, DON'T MAKE ME EAT THE TUNA AGAIN!

Hey everyone thought that I would chime in and let you know that my dietition told me yesterday she got the info from his 6wk Body Make Over plan. Then tweaked it to just a week thing to help break the plateau.

I don't have the 6wk thing.... I am interested in it though because if that program got me to break my plateau, and lose 9lbs & 10 inches in a WEEK.... THEN FLIPPIN SIGN ME UP!!!!

If you have the plan, fork it over!!! I want to know is it the same foods? Do they change? Is there more? What kind of exercise.....? Maybe I should just buy it... LOL

    Any info will help

its really simple i think i only have the info for a b bodytype
but basically of the the body types are similar. You have to eat 5-6 meals its a protein with every meal, breakfast and am snack is protein with fruit, lunch is protein with veggies dinner is protien with carb veggies.. I think carb serving is 1/2 cup, meat servings is 3oz
    no sugar, no salt,

if you think about it, its similar to fat smash and body for life without the induction phases. you just have to cut out salt completely.

meaning when you eat chicken breast you have to get hte fresh ones not the frozen. ( i didnt realize how much salt was in those)
you can find info on the forums
    http://forums.provida dot com

they will not tell you anything specific though, but you can get an idea in the recipe section too. Just take the profile test to find out your body type

    hope this helps

An A is an endomorph...you gain weight very easily, have the slowest metabolism. You were probably a chubby, even if not terribly overweight, child. You could have upwards of 50 pounds to lose, but quite likely more like 100+

A B is an endo-meso a person who is fairly muscular but with a good padding of fat. This person who was relatively 'average' (for lack of a better word) as a child or teenager. As you became an adult, you may have started having children, your life became a bit more sedentary, etc. It adds up. You probably have a thicker midsection than bottom or top. You could have anywhere from 25-100 pounds to lose, depending on how quickly you've gained, or how long you've let it go.

A C is a true mesomorph. A person who was the jock type as a kid, tom-boy if you are a girl, 'all boy' when you were a boy. You may be stout, meaning solid and short, maybe average legs, but thick around your torso. You may be quite tall, thick bone structure, SOLID. This person is very often one who was engaged in many sports as a kid througout school and maybe even college. (Note: some women may be a C underneath, but not quite yet!! After 50-60 pounds are removed, you may become the C of your TRUE self.)

A D is an ecto-endo. They have plenty of fat around their body, sometimes appearing shapeless, may have lots of lose flesh, very little muscle in their body. Your body may have been thin growing up, but as the pounds added up, you became doughy (sorry...again, I'm trying to create a picture here, not insult anyone!) You really don't have much in the way of muscles, which is why you are recommended to get plenty of beef in your program.

An E is an ecctomorph. You are our thinnest member. You were the proverbial 'stick child' when growing up. You were all elbows and knees knocking together, people used to call you 'string bean' or bean pole growing up. You may be tall and very thin, but have a gut around you, but your limbs will be skinny still.

Hey thanks! I missed this post yesterday, while my son was bugging me. I am doing my grocery shopping today and will be starting tomorrow.

I have no problem sharing. Take the quiz and I'll send you the info.

    Hello Everyone,

My name is Dawn and I am new to Phentermine.com but not new to taking the pills. I am trying to loss weight before I conceive.

I have the ENTIRE 6WBMO PROGRAM. If you would like I can email you the entire plan for "YOUR BODY TYPE". In order to know what that type is please go to the following website and take the test. It is kind of long but this will tell us the right program to give you. Once you get that done PM me with the letter and I can work on copying the book. I also need to know if you are male or female. I have the entire program so I can also find a way to send you the blue print cards so you can remake your body. I can scan them in and you can put them together.

If you have any other questions about the problem let me know because I have done it.

The key to this program is pre-make all of you meals. The Success of the program is LOTS of water. You are required to drink 100 oz of water a day before drinking any other drinks. You also eat every 2-3 hours and once you start the program your body will let you know when it is time to eat again.

I actually did 6wbmo back in Sept/October and i lost about 25lbs in about 4 weeks. I was following the plan to a T. I ate 5-6 times a day, only lean meats, i measured my foods out and everything. I was walking anywhere from 1-2 miles a day at the time too. The first month or so on it wasn't bad at all. I didn't hav any trouble sticking to the plan but eventually, i got very bored with it. Like everyone else said, it's pretty restrictive. I will probably do it from time to time to get me over a plateau or something but i could never do it for life. LIke julebug said, the website has a ton of recipes and it's pretty helpful. You really have to have a lot of self discipline to stick to it. I do at least. If you do stick to it you won't be disappointed with it at all. Good luck!

I sent you a PM with all of the info I actually sent if before I found out you were a type B, so it's actually the A plan, but I think I told you the difference in the two, so if you just make those few substitutions you will fine. Good luck!

sure, you can....if your husband is supportive which i'm assuming he is. i eat whatever it is that i am going to eat for dinner and then they eat something entirely different. we still eat together, but we just eat different things. just because i'm on a diet doesn't mean they have to be on one, too. but since they aren't that doesn't mean i have to sacrifice my weight loss and eat what they eat. sometimes they order pizza and i will eat salmon and green beans and have it ready when the pizza gets here. there are some nights when i'll plan for us to eat the same thing....like chicken stir fry and i tell him the night before, "ok, tomorrow we are going to eat this for dinner" if i don't say that then he knows it's up to him to choose what they're going to eat....or sometimes i choose what they're going to eat and i will make it but i just don't eat it. it hasn't caused any problems here.
