Liver Pain? Help!

So tonight I went to the grocery store and was feeling awesome when I got out of the car... so energetic and seriously feeling like I could take off running! But as I was walking up and down the aisles I started having this pain sort of in my chest area... on MY right side, just under my breast. My husband said that he thought that's where the liver is. It's not constant and it's not a horrible pain, just sort of nagging like heart burn that's in the wrong place. Has anyone had this?

I'm on Phend and I got two B12 shots this week spread apart. I've never felt this before. Thoughts?

thats odd that youwould bring that up because I felt awfully weird today too, havnt had much in sida effects at all besides dry mouth in the beginning and awake late, but today I felt realy strang kinda in the same way

I've been having pains in both my sides. I started TOM on v-day so I just assumed that was why. It is happening right now, and I figure if it still is happening next week it is because of the phen... ( i dont think this helped.. sorry)

I'm pretty much no where near my TOM so it can't be that, in my case at least. I don't think I've had this feeling at all since starting Phend, and I'm already 4 weeks in. You know, I wonder if it could be the B12 injection that I had today. The first month I was only getting one injection per week, but this week I had two of them. It's actually a "cocktail" shot, so it includes several other things including Methionine, Inositol, Choline, Chromium Chloride, & B12. Looking over the info they gave me, this is what it says about the liver next to some of the ingredients of the "cocktail."

Methionine is an amino acid. It acts as a lipotropic agent to speed up the removal of fat within the liver and to prevent excess fat buildup throught the body...

Choline is also related to the Vitamin B family... It also helps with body detoxification by "decongesting" the liver of excess fats...

I have no idea if the pain I was feeling was my liver or not, but it could have been. I guess I'll just mention it at my regular Wednesday appointment.

Graphic i had this. on my right hand side, where my breast is. My doc told me that im having this pain cause im not used to eating so less calorie. He told me to drink hot tea and it goes away. and it has gone away for me. It is because it is a form of gas, that means that we did not enough today. Drink some hot tea. anykind it does not matter which kind. U will feel better, if u dont please go to the ER

sounds like gallstones -- check with your pcp just in case. gallstones can be caused by weight loss/gain.

usually dull burning pain on right side just below ribs and can spread to shoulder area.
will worsen after greasy food -- check back and try to remeber what you have eaten within the past few hours.
gallbladder stores bile that aids in the digestion of fats so after fatty greasy meals and sometimes just after eating anything your liver may need more bile to aid in digestion the gallbladder squeezes out bile but if there are stones they get in the way -- can be very painfull or just so so.

ultrasound usually confirms, but they also have nuc med tests you can do.

i have had the dull aching also ive noticed that it happens when im not keeping my water intake up. it also happens when im ovulating believe it or not. but i have dealt with so much more crap when im ovulating that this pain is nothing. i work at taking in more water and that normally works because i soon forget about it until the next time it happens.. there is another pain that is similar but it normally happens with the small dullish sharp pains in my lower abdomin accompanied by a sharpish ache in either of my shoulders. (i have ovarian cysts) and these symptoms are normally a sign that my cysts need to be checked by my obqyn. but this is new and caused exclusively by what the phen is doing to me. i have started to time it with my bm's and realized it normally happens when i havent gone in a while. i take my smooth move tea and wait for a day and it normally goes away with my next bm. so check your water intake i know that if i dont take in at least 110 oz of water a day i m not at the top of my game and if you have any other problems physically (especially feminine problems) the phen can make your system go haywire. also monitor your bms if you havent had one in a while it may be partially the cause of your pain.

I'm feeling totally fine today... I haven't had the pain again since I posted this thread last night. So maybe I'm not getting enough water? That kind of makes sense, but I'll bring it up at my next appointment just in case. I know that it can't be gallstones because I don't have a gallbladder!! LOL!! I had mine taken out several years ago, and I have to admit that surgery is worse than a c-section!!

Mine is the same area but in the back, under the bra area...where i have the super roll of fat (hehe)...it was there for two days and went away. Good to hear yours has disappered... keep us posted to what the doc says

well my theory was blown right out of the water.

and did you have the laparoscopic or the full on open gallbladder removal? you said hurt worse than a c-section so just wondering. I had my gallbladder removed and it was done through the laparoscopic surgery. It did hurt but I have never had a c-section so I can't compare it to that. NOW I can tell you that it was way better than a hemerhoidectomy

I had the 'cut u open and leave a big scar' gallbladder removal(back in 1986) 2 months after I had a c-section so to me they were pretty much the same.
