Okay some of you have already heard me rant about TOM and it being here so long! Friday will be the end of my 4th week! Have you guys (gals) encountered this? How can I make this stop? I know I'm not really focusing on my eating and exercising because it's that much harder with the cravings and such while on TOM, and with phen being expensive and such I feel like I'm not using the benefits to the fullest. I did take 4 days off phen to see if it would stop but it didn't help. I'm ready to try any suggestions you guys may have!

Does your TOM last this long very often? Are you saying this started just since you started phen?

I used to have that problem, not because of phen, and my gynecologist did an endometrial ablation (very simple same day procedure) on me and my TOM are almost gone. I mean only 3 days at the most and maybe every other month. Might be something you can consider. Of course you must be past wanting to have more kids before you can have this procedure. Hope things get better for you.

I have had 2 visits from tom in the past two weeks. it is killing me. I have been retaining water horribly and the scale has gone up 5 lbs! I know I haven't gained any fat because I am still following my diet. Hopefully it will stop soon and I will loose the excess water weight.

Okay, so I hit a plateau, found out my dad hand cancer and my eating spiraled out of control. I gained it all back plus some. I have now started dieting again... so the saga continues

I've always been irregular since my very first TOM, it never has lasted this long though, usually it does not come for months. I started phen and then 3 weeks later TOM came and has not left.
I have not had kids yet so for now the endometrial ablation is not an option, however it's good to know it's out there because I hate dealing with TOM.
Katherine I hear you on the weight gain , I know I've gained at least 8 lbs since TOM, and it may be more now!
I just dont know how much longer this will go for.

Okay this is really weird now - it's only 10:30 AM and I've already had to change five times (TOM) my flow is super heavy! I was planning on going to OBGYN as soon as TOM stopped, but I think I'll make a visit sooner- ASAP. There's no pain or anything like that just too much of it coming out. sorry if TMI.

    MNUNEZ-

When I started Phen, I to had my TOM about three weeks later, and it really never ended. I would have it normal for the 7 day cycle and then between this TOM and Next TOM it never really stopped, It was not heavy or anything, but it was there, some days heavier than others. After my next TOM came and went I decided I was gonna stop my Birth Control to see if that helped, and sure enough after the 7 day cycle was gone so was my TOM after I stopped the birth control. No more abnormal spotting. I am thinking that the Phen had some kind of reaction to my birth control making it have an adverse affect, because I have never had any issues with my birth control otherwise. I plan to start it back up again after a months time, but just thought I would share my story with you, could be another option for you, if you are on birth control.

good luck I know how it ****s to have an extended TOM.

I'm not on any birth control I've been off it for 2 years now. It always does a number on me so I just decided to go with out. I called the OBGYN and they won't see me until TOM stops, so there goes that idea. I do have my next docs appointment on Saturday, it's with my diet doctor, so we'll see what he says about this. I really need for TOM to go away though, I feel like I've gained weight instead of loosing. Which ****s because I have a company event at the end of the month to attend. I've upped my workouts so if I can just tone up it would be good.

I also have a very TOM for years. I got the endometrial ablation done but there was still the pain, so much pain, perhaps you should talk to your dotor about endometriosis. That is what I ended up having, and after two sugeries to remove the over growth and one ovary, everything is A-ok.
I hope you get it looked at soon, I feel for you. It's very hard to focus on weight when TOM's around...

I have been on phen for almost two months and have two TOMs and they have been normal for me. I am so glad they weren't bad. I am sorry you all are not having a good go of it.
