    Unhappy I'm SOOOOO Frustrated!!!!

I lost six pounds on my first week on phen, which is great, but then didn't lose any weight the next three days and that made my compulsive eating habits to come back. I was sooo disappointed and found temporary relief with food....and ate lots of everything, only to feel guilty a little while later . I'm sure I'll be gaining so much weight because of today...I feel so horrible--I let myself down so quickly ! feel defeated.

Loosing 6 pounds is great. I was frustrated earlier this week as well. I weigh 157 and only lost 1 pound during my first week. But then i got a few posts saying how other people lost weight their first week, then nothing for the rest of the month. HOWEVER they also said that in their second month the weight dropped off really quick. So just hang in there. My only question is how are you eating much? Is the phen not working as well, or are you not taking it?

Also, my first week my appetite was soo shut down that I bearly ate, and i hear thats what leads to not loosing much weight. So I began snacking on something small and healthy in between healthy low carb meals and hopefully my metabolism and weight loss speeds up.

Im in my second week now and my problem is nighttime craving because i take the 30mg phen capsule early in the morning but i heard about a product called 5-HTP that's supposed to help with nighttime hungar pangs and is supposed to be safe to take with phen. Im going to look into that because lots of people on this site say it helps and maybe you should as well to help with your bindge eating.
Until then celebrate the 6lb loss and stay motivated by drawing on that accomplishment

You will be fine. A day of eating due to stress or depression, will not offset your goal as bad as you think. Just remember this, your body sometimes takes a few days to "show" on the scale, the amount of weight you really are losing. I remember losing a lot of weight the first time. Then the scale stopped moving. At that point, I thought I couldn't lose anymore weight, and was stuck. But what was going on is that I was now losing inches. :-)

My friend is the same way, if she doesn't see the scale move down rather than up she freaks out. I told her, the body weight will increase, and then in about two-three days the pounds drop, and you think you lost like three or four pounds overnight!

    You will be fine!
    Toy--

The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. Happiness lies for those who cry, those who hurt, those who have searched, and those who have tried, for only they can appreciate the importance of people who have touched their lives.

    Default Honey is right

The exact same story here. I dropped 10lbs the 1st week, and silly me, set myself up mentally to see that sort of number EVERY week . Of course when week 2 came & only a single lb dropped, I was BEYOND inconsolable. Heck, I almost tossed my R-X bottle out the window!

But I decided to stick w/ it since I'd already paid the $$ & Walgreens wasn't about to take that bottle back less-4 pils, lol

I've just passed my 1-month mark on Phen, and in the 3 wks after that 1st high-loss week, dropped another 7lbs or so, but the weight DID flux (especially if you're a slave to the scale like I am ). I try to combat the dissapointment w/ a 'stubborn' scale by tracking my measurements instead, and by going on how my clothes fit & how I look. As for the scale, I'm weaning myself off of it, trying not to look until at least the week is over (hopefully I can eventually go a month w/o checking). I think in the beginning this is best; don't focus on what that scale sez, but what your body is DOING.

And don't beat yourself up for slipping; it happens. I had the same urge in my 2nd & 3rd wks. The only thing that keeps me from doing it is the thought that Phen isn't gonna be around forever for me, so I need to take advantage of it now as much as possible (the $$ spent each month is a deterrant too, lol)

Hope this helps, and CONGRATS on the loss so far, you're on the right track! I know you'll keep it up.

When do you weigh yourself? I only weigh once a week (everyday sunday) after I get up and before I eat or drink anything. That's how I get my true weight. When I eat or drink anything it effects my weight, but a few pounds actually. Don't give up, just fall into a weekly routine & you'll be fine.

    Good luck

6 lbs in the first week is awesome. My first week I lost four. I can see by your profile that you don't have alot to lose...please keep in mind that you are not going to lose ten lbs a week like a larger person would. It just isn't physically possible!

The phen doesn't take your appetite away completely....it helps....so there are days that you are going to eat more....it is a long journey. I've been on the rollercoaster since July. I'd be lying if I say there aren't times I get frustrated, depressed, anxious etc. and binge. I'm trying to really use the med. as a tool at this point and do the work myself.

There are going to be weeks that you lose, and there are going to be weeks taht you don't even though you are trying...(for me that is PMS week!...i can't lose a freaking ounce!).

So learn from this experience and keep going. You are going to have to come off the med. eventually and be able to eat healthy and not binge.

    stay well.
I did it!! Reached goal and have been here for quite a while thanks to low carb eating and working out like crazy! Phen didn't work for me, but that isn't to say that there aren't other ways. God bless all of you!

    Wink thanks sooooo much!

I appreciate all of ur responses! Last night I let the lack of weight loss get the best of me and i was eating everything in sight despite the fact that i was not hungry. I guess it was my body being stubborn and rebellious. After reading all of ur responses I feel soooo much better, so again, thank you !!!
I will continue to give this process my all as though yesterday's slip never happened. Thanks for your support, I really appreciate it!!!
