Hello everyone!
I am very excited to be joining this community! After reading through many of your posts, I know this is the place where I want to find the encouragement and answers I may need along the way!
I actually tried to start taking phen awhile back. I decided it was going to be worth the investment and purchased pills online. Huge mistake! Turns out I was sent phony pills and wasted over a month of time waiting for them to come. Bleh! The moral of that story...try to pressure your doctor into helping you before you resort to the internet!
Last week, I was finally able to convince my doctor to talk about my weight. It's always been an off color topic with her, she usually just tells me to buy the way-too-expensive pre-packaged foods they sell at the doctors office. She perscribed me phen for the next three months and then said that after I aclimate to these pills, she'll give me a combination of phen and topomax until I reach my goal weight. Woo! Finally she's willing to work with me on this!
So I took my first pill on Sunday and had to force myself to eat! I'm normally not a big eater, I usually pick throughout the day so this was really different for me. Yesterday I wasn't hungry until late afternoon, but I did get a splitting headache that didn't go away until 10:30 this evening. Today I was hungry around noon and then in the evening, so that puts me pretty much where I was before I starting taking the phen. Is this normal? I keep reading about the CLA and the 5-HTP, but I'd like to know if the phen is working for me before I add more pills to my diet. Any thoughts?
I haven't seen any results yet. I know it's only been 3 days, but some of you have pretty incredible stories about rapid weightloss, so you never know! I haven't incorporated excercise yet. We'll see what happens when I start back up tomorrow...
Anyway, I'm babbling. I look forward to chatting with you all soon!!!
