    Unhappy

Ok I was doing very well and lost 20lbs in one month now for 2 weeks I have not lost any weight at all. I have not changed anything. I eat maybe 1000 calories a day. I'm still not hungry but the weight loss has stopped. What should I do to jump start it?

Sometimes we hit that well-known plateau and I think you have. Perhaps up your fitness routine and/or consume more/less calories a day to jumpstart the loss. Your body actually needs 1200 calories minimum a day to survive or your body will begin to eat muscle. Sounds weird I know but it's what I've read more than once.

Don't get discouraged, hun. And good luck!

Yes, eat more! You need at least 1200 calories...you are burning more thoughout the day and you need more calories. Change up your excercise routine - if you normally do yoga, try something with a lot of cardio, vice versus. Try to eat more protein....more water....

I see that the other responses spoke of changing your exercise routine, and this is great advice. Each week, you should do something new. So, if you walk (or run) on a treadmill one week, then use the Elliptical the next week, the Bicycle the week after that, and then you can return to the treadmill again. You can also vary the speed that you walk (or run) at. Another trick if you use the treadmill is to change the ramp elevation (significantly), so that you are walking (or running) up a hill.

Hope that helps, it works for me, quite well.
