Phen & Synthroid

Hi there,
I am new to Phen. Just started yesterday. I have been on a fairly low doese of Synthroid for a couple of years now. Does anyone else take a med for their thyroid and are now taking Phen as well? I am also on Spironolactone. This med is a diuretic and is for blood pressure as well as other things. I don't have high blood pressure....but I do have PCOS and my doc gave this to me saying it would slow down the hair growth issue with PCOS. Those are the only two meds I take. I am hoping it is going to be ok with the Phen. Any input would be appreciated.

I take synthroid 100 , premerin, benicar for HBP allegra for the nasty start of allergy season and phen with no problems. I do the synthroid and prem when I get up at 6am then the phen at 11 am and the rest in the afternoon,

I also take synthroid & Phentermine. This is my second time on Phentermine I took it way before the whole up-roar about phen/phen. I have and NO problems. I actually feel better since I have been taking the phentermine. I am no as sluggish anymore; I just pray that once I am off of it will. I go back to being a couch potato. I take Synthroid .200. I’m new to the site. Don’t second guess your doctor, that’s how I got my phentermine. See if you have a thyroid problem they would rather prescribe you this then take the chance of taking some that is not right for people with a thyroid condition. Let me know if you need any more information. Having a thyroid condition, our biggest fight and enemy is extra weight. Good luck on your mission.

thanks for your input. I have a sluggish thyroid, and the synthroid seems to help me a little. I was boderline on the test for low thyroid but tested positive for anti-bodies, which meant my body was attacking my own thyroid. After being on synthroid, my anti-bodies are gone and my levels are better. I went from about a 5 to about a 1....and most women feel good being a .5 to about 1.5. Just the way the lab tests the thyroid functioning. They don't consider you being hypothyroid unless you are well over 5,and usually only treat you if you are over 7. But, because of the anti-bodies....she gave me the synthroid. It did help me lose some weight....but not all of it. Basically, I just feel better on the synthroid. How much weight did you lose when you took phen last time? how long were you on it?

hey!I'm on syn's 112's each day, cytomel 05's each day AND phen AND prozac..NO problems.

I take 137 mcg of Synthroid every day and the 37.5mg of Phen along with Levora, a multivitamin, colace and occasionally 5-HTP. No problems here.

Just started Phen yesterday, also on Synthroid 150 mcg. I am so glad there is something out there that will work for me that isn't toxic!!!!

I take Synthroid 150 mcg and phen. Both were prescribed by my doctor so it's safe! I've been on phen for a little over 2 months now and everything is fine.
