Thread: What type of diet is everyone doing?

    My Dr. put me on eggs,meat,and cheese diet for one month I did fine for the first two weeks then, after that during my workouts I felt horrible. I have tried to do Atkins about seven times before and always felt the same way tired and nauseas and just horrible. However I know, that with Atkins and low-carb diets, you loose a lot of weight and fast but, I hate feeling this way. Anyway, my main question is, has anyone lost a lot of weight while doing other diets and Phen.

    I tried the Atkins diet about a year 1/2 ago and lost 30lbs or so. When I came off of it I put on 60lbs!! So needless to say I'm not a big fan of it..lol. This time I am just keeping my calories around 1800 (I'm a guy) and eating healthier foods like wheat instead of white bread, brown rice over white rice or potatoes..stuff like that. I lost 20lbs the first month and am losing inches too. Plus I don't feel like i'm eating a diet I can't keep forever like the atkins thing. I'm just reprograming myself to eat and enjoy the healthier stuff. So I'd call it a "nutrition" diet. (I see a nutritionist...lol)

    Dr Visit (12/26/07) - 310 (21 lbs lost)
    Dr Visit (01/23/08) - 297 (34 lbs lost)

    I am counting calories. I could never do the adkins..I tried it and it made me constipated Although, everyone is different!
    Im back at this agian....I just had a little boy on 1/14/08 and now need to get this pregnancy weight off I have lost 27lbs so far since giving birth but have a whole lot more to go.

    I'm doing anywhere from 1200-1400 calories a day, just eating healthier food. What i ate today:

    Breakfast: Light N Fit Yogurt, Laughing cow cheese, and a Special K bar

    Snack: Ligh Mozz Cheese Stick

    Lunch: Apple and a Luna Bar

    Before gym food: Carrots with a light garlic and herb dipping sauce

    Dinner: Lean Cuisine skillet meal, ate about 3/4.

    It was about 1300 calories or so. I was hungry, not gonna lie, but I just started so I'm trying to push through
    Height: 5'6"
    Starting Weight: 170 lbs 2/20/06
    Current Weight: 154 lbs 5/14/06
    Short-term Goal Weight: 145 by 5/17/06!!
    Goal Weight: 130 lbs

    Moderation diet. Keep my calorie intake under 2,000. I eat a light lunch..Bagel, 1 slice of pizza, egg salad sandwich. And gotten these little 1/2 cans (8oz) of soda. Yes, I know they are no good. But, when I have tried to cut it out. I fail on the diet. It's better than the 20oz bottles I used to drink. One thing is that I find I don't even finish the 8oz can. Then for dinner I have whatever in moderation, a hamburger, pasta, 2 slices of pizza, chicken (No! not all at once. ). Then for dessert I will eat one of those fat-free puddings only 90 calories and they taste good. Biggest thing is I don't nosh in the evening anymore.

    This is from 12/28/05 around 224lbs.


    6/25/06 down 40lbs.

    I am Weight Watchers and loving it because I can eat whatever I want as long as I stay within my points range.

    Weight Watchers, but staying below my points target almost everyday.


    1st time taking Phen: 10/08/2005 @ 232 lbs. lost down to 183 lbs. I've been on hiatus ever since.

    Starting Phen again: 03/21/08 @ 232 lbs. (how ironic)

    I'm eating right at 1000/day, but as posted above it just depends on you. I'm a teeny tiny woman who isn't very teeny right now. If I eat the recommended amount of calories per day I will not only not lose weight, I'll gain!

    I dont diet. I just cut the portions I was eating in 1/2...
    I dont eat fried foods and mostly chicken or fish for 'meat'.
