Does anyone know anything about these three other options. I am living in Europe and Phen is impossible to get here.

I have tried Meridia. A nightmare. I lost weight and felt great while on it. The second I got off, i blew up. I mean, I got bigger than I had ever been and was tracking my intake, so I had to get back on phen to straighten things out.

So, I liked phen and am now a bit nervous to try something new (don't want a repeat meridia experience). Is Amfepramone the same as phen? Has anyone tried (or know anything about Rimonabant)?

    Any help would be great!!!

I don't know anything about any of them. If you don't get any responses -- have you tried doing an online search? It might give you an idea. I'm on Tenuate...and it doesn't seem to work as well as everyone says Phen does.

    Good luck.

    Hi Sharebear,

I working in pharamceutical marketing here in the states and one of our clients is Sanofi-Aventis (they make Rimonabant). We even work on that drug specifically, it was supposed to get FDA approval here last year and didn't so they are ramping up for approval the end of this year instead.

Everything I have read and heard make me think this is a good drug to try. I wish I had more specifics, and I'll look for you. But I think it's main application is Diabetics right now, but that they way it works with your body helps it to lose weight and helps control appetite.

I'm patiently..as in asking every other day when it's going to be approved..lol..

I am just about to start Meridia & Phen sorry that Meridia was so bad for you when you went off it. That's exactly what happened to me when I went of Phen, so here I am back as square one!

I'll look for more info to send your way about Rimonabant.

    Good luck!
