I have been on phentermine for 3 days. I am totally not expecting to see results yet, but I was wondering when people started to see results.
Also, how much exercise do you do? How much is reccommended? I haven't incorporated exercise in yet, as my daughter has been sick and they won't take sick kids in the daycare at the gym. Sorry for all the questions. I am a newbie.

I started losing the first few weeks-but every one is different.
I do 60 minutes of cardio a day plus a 20 minutes of an ab's and thighs dvd. Daily.
It is however inportant that you have a low cal diet, drink plenty of water and excecise daily in order for the Phen to work and to start the weigth lost.
Good kuck and I hope the wee one feels better soon

I lost 8 lbs in the first two weeks but again everyone is different. Be patient give it time. Phen is not a magic pill. Just a diet aid or motivator in my case. You have to start a lifestyle change, eating healthy, exercising.

I started exercising my first day I started phen...I did about 20-25 minutes starting out...then went to 30-35 minutes and now I do an exercise video for about 50 minutes.

I lost 4 lbs my first day!!! I think it was water weight...but anyways, first week, I lost 8, second week, I lost 0 ( I dont think I was eating enough calories), third week, lost 4.5lbs, and 4th week (this past week) I lost 4 lbs...

EVeryone is different, but I do suggest eating ENOUGH calories and exercising and WATER are both VERY important....

I started losing the first couple weeks. I guess it just depends on your body and how much you put into it. I would suggest going to www.sparkpeople.com and filling in your info and they will tell you how many calories and minutes you need to burn to lose weight. Its free and a wonderful tool. I first started with maybe 3 days a week and now I am up to 5. I wish yah success and keep up the good work

I started losing right away - but I also increased my work outs & water intake at the same time. I was walking 30 minutes on the treadmill & now am up to 45 inutes on the treadmill & another 30 minutes walking my dog after that for a total of about 4 miles a day 4 -5 days a week, as well as 30 - 40 minutes of yoga & strength training 4 - 5 days a week. I found it difficult to get above 800 - 900 calories for the first week to 10 days - but I have finally gotten to where I can eat about 1200 calories a day without struggling. I would also recommend sparkpeople.com.

KellyO, I started losing immediately. The first month I loss 25lbs but I think most of it was water weight. Also, during that first month I didn't exercise much. I mainly focused on my eating and overhauling it completely. I didn't start exercising until my second month and as of today I've lost 83lbs.

You should know in the beginning most of the weight loss is water weight. And if taking properly phen will increase your metobolism to help you to start burning the fat. I know when I go to the gym I'm sweating like it's no ones business. Also, the other suggestion I can give you after your first month on phen take a small break... be it a week or a couple of days and you should continue to take breaks throughout your time on it. It helps the body to never adjust to being on phen.

As for exercising, as I stated earlier I didn't exercising at all my first month. When I started I started going to the gym for 1hr daily doing nothing but walking on the threadmill @ 3.0 with no inclince. And as I got use to things I changed things up on my exercise routine. But today I'm a gym rat I go 6x a week and stay until I complete atleast an hour and 1/2 of workout and burned no less than 1200 calories.

Keep the questions coming....this site is great for getting quick answers to your questions, don'e be ashamed to ask. I started losing my first week also, and I was already exercising before I started Phen. Just be patient and start off slow with your exercise, 20-30 cardio in the begining and then work your way up, more resitance and more time on the cardio. Once you are satisfied with that add some strenghth training in, so that once you lose the fat it won't be droppy skin.

Just remember water, exercise and your calorie count you will be successful.

Redds you burn 1200 calories a day at the gym???? OMG I thought that was our goal for the week. What is your average weekly weight loss? If you don't mind me asking?

To be honest, I lost 21 lbs in the first month with no exercise besides what I get at work (I do warehouse work at an airport). It requires little movement most days and lifting very seldom. Everyone is different though. A friend of mine was on Phentermine for a year and only lost around 40 lbs, but he drinks way too much alcohol too.

InchbyInch, I don't achieve my goal everyday but I do achieve 1000 calories everyday. Below is my average weight loss for the last challenge I was in.

1st week goal: -2.7 lbs Results: lost 4 lbs Weight: 255lbs
2nd week goal: -2.7 lbs Results: lost 6 lbs Weight: 249lbs (Picture below)
3rd week goal: -2.7 lbs Results: lost 4 lbs Weight: 245lbs (SOOOOoooooo SIKED!)
    4th week goal: -2.7lbs Results: lost 1lb Weight: 244lbs
    5th week goal: -2.7lbs Results: lost 1lb Weight: 243lb
6th week goal: -2.7lbs Results: Gain: +3lbs Weight: 246..... UGH
    7th week goal: -2.7lbs Results: lost 4lbs Weight: 242
8th Week goal: -3.7lbs Results: lost 3lbs Weight: 239 (Picture below YAY)
    9th Week goal: 3.7lbs Results: lost 0lbs Weight: 239
    10th Week goal: 3.7lbs Results: lost 4lbs Weight: 234
    11th Week Goal: 3.7lbs Results: lost 5lbs Weight: 229
    12th Week Goal: 3.7lbs Results: lost 0lbs Weight: 229
13th Week Goal: 3.7lbs Results: lost 0lbs Weight: 229 (Final Weight)

I go to the gymy 6x a week and I stay from 1-2hrs somedays. On the treadmill I can burn up to 935 calories alone. Incline is the key on the treadmill... you burn more calories. I usually start off at 3.3 miles @ 5 incline; then after 10mins I incline to 12.5 @ 3.3 for 30mins; then I keep the same inclince but increase my speed to 3.5 for 10mins; and my final 10 minutes I increase the inclince to 15@ the same speed... leaving me buring 900+ calories.

Also, you have to remember you can't necessarily look at the lbs lost per week but also the inches. Because sometimes you go down in inches vs. lbs and when you build muscles you're not going to always see lbs lost.

Thanks Redds, that helps a whole lot!!! I will start with trying to burn 600-700 at the gym daily. Then grow from there.

That's good, it's all about growing because we didn't get this way over night. Girl, you're going to knock it out of the park because you're determined to do it. Are you doing the baltimore walk?
