I know everyone is different but, I am just curious what everyone else has lost since starting Phen.? And when you started Phen. Is 10 lbs. a month about average?

Hey
Well, I began Phentermine May 19th, and as of last Thursday, I am down 34.5 lbs. My first month was the biggest loss for me (over 20 lbs), but the second month I lost about 14. I am shooting for an average of a little over 12 from here on out. Good luck on your journey.

Hit Goal: December 22, 2007 - 200.1!!!!

Currently at 225 (AHHH!) January 14th, 2009

It will slow, and you will find that you can't stay on phen constantly - nor can you depend on it to be the answer. Always remember it's a tool that should be used to help you change your habits. You will need to take little breaks from it to restore its effectiveness, and to control some of the side effcts that crop up later (like phen rage and constipation). You will be successful - but just don't forget that phen doesn't make you lose weight - less calories and more exercise do!

Sorry to lecture, my goodness!

My stats are below - I lost 17 the first month, and 5-8 pounds each month thereafter. 50 pounds in six months exactly...but mre importantly, the inches. Around 70 total if you count neck, arms, chest, bust, waist, belly, hips, thighs, and calves.

Hello,
I started Phen on May 29th and I have done pretty good. We always seem to want more, no matter what we get. I started at 233 lbs, I now weigh 203.5, so to say the least I am pleased. I agree with Resmoo and I have said this many times before "it is a tool", some look at it as the easy way out, but it's not. It is just like most things in life...a little helper. I love Phen, not to the point of obsession, but just like a GOOD Friend! Anyway, I lost 20 lbs the first month (and to date a total of 17 inches!) and then my doctor told me that my weight loss would slow down because there was 20 lbs less of me. It did slow down, but then after a couple of days here comes this huge loss. 4 days after going to my doctor I dropped another 3.5 lbs, I wanted to call him and say.....So there! Instead I am going to keep on doing what I am doing...exercising and making healthier food choices. I will be honest, I miss my sweets but it is so much sweeter to walk in the store and buy smaller sizes! Good Luck to you!

I started May 17th and am down 23 pounds. I too lost most of it the first 5 or 6 weeks. It has slowed but I'm still doing WW and dont care... as long as it comes off nice and slow.

I started in march and the first 5 weeks I lost 23lbs the second 6 weeks I lost 21bs and I am due to go back on Aug 1st for my next weigh in and I hope to be under 200! I am guessing by now I have lost about 55lbs total. Good luck to all!

This is only my first week back on Phen. As of last Monday I've lost 8.5 pounds. I know it is mostly water but I'm happy nonetheless! I'm ready to feel the difference in my clothes, dang it!

my first month i lost 15 but when i went to the doctor i was on the monthly mother nature deal (TOM) so really i lost 20
BUT i went to weigh in on the second moth of it an i only lost 7 a little discouraging YES but i KNEW it was going to slow down

I have been on Phen for three weeks. I have lost a total of 7 pounds. At first, I was a little disappointed but reminded myself up to now I haven't been able to lose ANY weight. I am 48 and am sure menopause and quitting smoking in January had a lot to do with my weight gain. In a matter of months, earlier this year, I gained some 22 pounds. I was gaining weight at a rate of 2-3 pounds per week at one point in March. I went to the dr to rule out thyroid problems. I tried everything -- dieting, excercising, etc. and never lost a single pound. Finally, my dr. put me on Phen at the end of June and I am so grateful she did. I am just glad to see the scale go down 2 pounds in week.

Today is the first day of my 4th week on Phen and I have lost 12 pounds so far!!! The first week was great at 9 pounds but these past two weeks are a bit weak. My 2nd week I was REALLY sick with bronchitis and tonsilitis and was unable to really eat for days. This past week is PMS & now TOM. I guess that is life LOL. I am happy to just be losing at all. Once I am feeling better, I will be working harder at getting it all off. This time is the last time, I WILL get it all off!!!

My weight loss has been slow compared to some but I have finally decided that I don't care how long it takes...I am going to lose this weight this time for good.

I started Phen at the first of April...lost 9 lbs the first month. Went back last friday and had lost another 10 lbs. That averages out to a little over a pound a week. I'm really going to step it up the next two months because this is when I usually start gaining back (school starts---schedule is different, stress, etc.--I teach Jr. High!!---enough said LOL)

I go back to clinic September 13 and will be happy with another 10 lb loss and would be estatic to be out of the 200s which would be a 15 lb loss.

I am so depressed... I started Phentermine on June 30 and did great the first week... went from 197.5 to 190.0 but now I am back at 192 and even 193.5 sometimes... I am not eating a lot at all.... actually I usually MAKE myself eat a full meal since I am not really hungry. I am so upset because my appt. with my doctor next week and I am afraid that she wont keep me on it if she doesnt see results as this is the FIRST time she has ever prescribed this drug and it was very hard to get her to do it... I pretty much told her that if she didnt write me a ** for it then I would buy it over the net and I would rather do it safe under a doctors supervision... well she wrote it but I am afraid that if these results dont increase ... I will be back to square one...
Anyone have any suggestions....? I love this site and look at it daily for support!

I started one month ago and have lost a total of 18 pounds. I have a low cal diet, and tons of outdoor exercises. Started Kayaking, rollerblading and just getting off the couch. we are all different, and I can be a buddy for anyone just give me a ring.

I've been on phen since 3/22 and have lost 41 pounds so far. It hasn't been easy but it hasn't been as hard as I thought it would be. I have actually found that phen plays such a very small part in this whole scenario. Eating the right things, water, CLA and exercise are the main things that have helped me. I only take phen every other week and on the weekends if I want to splurge I do. I have plateaued a couple of times and that's when it seems to be the hardest. But I don't care, I just take it one day at a time. I will just keep on keeping on because this is not a diet it is a life journey. And thanks to all of you who write in and share about your journeys because it helps me on mine. Congrats to all of you who have lost alot and to those who are just starting. You are all winners in my book! Have a great day!

Sorry to post again, but I had something similar happen to me when I started the Atkins diet a few years ago. I was not cheating really doing well, but I gained 6 pounds. I was ticked off to say the least. Then I upped my carbs just a little and added more veggies. The weight flew off! 6 pounds here, 8 pounds there, sometimes our bodies need a little week and we actually hold weight when we restrict ourselves so much. If you are willing try eating more throughout the day and if you have no appetite I like to add the silver box EAS shakes, they work for me. Low carb, low calories, a little aftertaste but not too bad. good luck and DO NOT give up. Give me a hollar if you need support okay?

also i have three daughters and the are 11 10 and 8 and they are on the road to be overweight girls please help me someone so i can help them !!!!! if anyone has the time help !!!!!!!!!!!!

Well my dh and I have both been heavy our whole lives. So we only offer our kids the amount that we feel they need. They are 6 and 3. They only get healthy snacks like apples ect. And we don't have desert ever. Even if we do have something that would been considered dessert to eat. We don't call it that and you don't have to eat any certain amount to get it. That way there is no motivation to over eat to get yet more food. and left overs are thrown away.
Starting pant size 18w, shirt 2xl, bra 42d, undies 7
Current pant size 10, shirt L/M, bra 36d, undies 6
Update: My BMI is now in the overweight category!

O and let me ad that my daughter is thin (6yr) and my son is a healthy weigh but heading toward the heavy side but he is also 3 so it's still hard to judge what he is going to do.

Thanks for your reply.... I am just hoping that this weight loss increases... today I was 191 again.... but I was hoping to lose at a rate of 5-7 pounds per week..... I just hope the Dr. gives me some more time with it!

Steftelle, are you exercising? Drinking at least eight glasses of water a day?

Remember all, the closer you get to goal, the slower it goes. Don't give up. I track my calories, exercise, drink water and attend a weightloss group called TOPS once a week. I will hit my goal!

Honestly, no exercising besides running after my 2 kids... but I know that isnt enough. I work at a job where I sit the ENTIRE day. As for drinking water, yes I have been... a lot more than I used to - but I know that I MUST drink more water! I DO NOT like water at all but since I started Phen. I have had a slight craving for water... because of the dry mouth mostly, sooo thirsty a bit after taking the pill. So--- overall, I know I should be doing more but I really want to get in the 180's before my next Dr. appt.. and I am keeping my fingers crossed that my Primary Care Doc will refill this. Congrats to all that are making progress.... Pray for me!
