My husband thinks that all of you on this message board is paid to put your pics up!

My husband and I was talking this evening and he thinks everyone is paid to put their pictures up here.. He really wants me to lose the weight and he says well whatever, anything that helps you!!he wants me thin and so do I! I told him he is so wrong! I use to be on a lung cancer message board when he got his lung cancer. They helped me through so much stuff!! and in the long run helped him. He went through major chemo and radiation! and now hes in remission and has been for a little over 2 years!!! Its not a cure until 5 years cancer free!! So we are still holding our breath!! The odds are against him! but some do survive!! I pray that he will be one of them!!Hes already beaten the odds! he was a stage 3b! because it metasized to his lymp nodes in his chest... but now is doing great!! That is the reason for me being smoke free now for 2 1/2 years!!! He quit 5 years before he got the lung cancer! Anyway I'm trying to get healthy period! I told him this message board is real and that people on here are real people not someone paid to put their pictures up here!! I couldn't believe he thought that!! Just so you all know you have really helped inspire me so far!! It helps me to come here everyday and read everyones post! I've learned sooo much already!! I've increased my water, and increased my workouts!!and decrease my alcohol and I'm just trying to cut back portions and more or less counting my calories!! I'm doing good so far!! Thanks to everyone who has helped inspire me and others!!

Great job on the 19lbs so far and tell hubby, the non-believer, great job on being smoke free.

OMG, I wish they paid me! This med is expensive.

I will say though, that the medicine does help with appetite, but in order to be really successful it's a full time job! I eat when I'm NOT hungery. I eat when I'm stressed, tired, bored, etc...so the medicine does help, but it still takes A LOT of work to control my emotional eating and to get my butt on the treadmill.

The 30 mg capsules (blue/white) does give kick
a s s energy though, so that helps alot!

Paid? Gee, that would be nice. Pay me with a personal trainer to kick my butt every day!!

That's awesome about your hubby. It's amazing how the body works. I'm glad you found the support you needed then and now! There are lots of miracles out there. Cancer runs thick in my hubby's family so I worry about that.

Congrats on your weight loss and best of luck to you to continue!
Also glad hubby is cancer free at this time-lets pray he stays that way.Way to go on stopping the smokes yourself!!!!If you can do that-you can lose this weight.Iwas a smoker and I know how hard it is and it was far more harder to quit smoking than it is to lose weight.My opinion I should say.Take care

lung cancer, I'm so sorry to hear about his cancer but he has come this far. Tell him, we are not a cancer forum but a weightloss forum and we can help him too.. We are for anyone who needs us... Its just a name of a forum. Weightloss, cancer, name it we are here....................

Well....let the truth be told.... how the heck did your husband figure it out....

I'm Tampa, and I get paid....the checks get directly depostied to a secured account in Canada..where my accomplice counts every penny of it, makes the call to my agent confirming the transaction and checks for the correct figures. Shortly after I recieve the call, I begin drinking my 120 oz of water, I start eating healthy, I exercise and jump on the scale every freakin morning. I waste my days and nights responding to post with humor and compliments to others for the sake of "getting paid". I've got 7 lbs till I reach goal...or what I think is goal, then I'll probably be unemployed.

On a serious note...congrats on the weightloss and your weight loss journey. My prayers go out to you and your husband. Look forward to seeing you around the board.

LOL... we are real people and we got paid in motivatation and kick in butts! We got paid by having 24hrs free advise

Cancer cells can be controlled with good choice of "living/organic food" and healthy lifestyles. Go for lots of greens and fresh juices. God bless!

Well hubby might not believe in this message board! But I do!! I think message boards are great! Its funny how just talking to other people going through the same thing, people we've never met can truely help us out, Even living states and many miles apart!
As far as hubby eating lots of greens...He has a problem with that even though he knows its good for him. Because during his cancer treatment he developed 3 blood clots in one leg and has to be on cumadin the rest of his life! which eating greens affects his cumadin levels.. So he has to be very careful there..But he does try to get as much as he can..

I for one, know that people here do not get paid, if that were the case, I would have lots of pictures. I hate having my picture taken so I dont have a new pic up.

But I did wonder if some of the photos were fakes, as well as the success stories. But after joining in and "meeting" the people here, I know that they are real people with real results and that they have worked HARD for them.

Hey Rinks,

I just want you to know, I think you look like a fun, outgoing, loving person. You keep coming on these boards and being the person you are. We'll be praying for you and hubby and that things will continue to be on the track that they are. I hate cancer and everything it does to people. On a more positive not though, survivors are more thankful for what they have, the rest of us that hasn't had to deal with anything like that take it for granted a lot of time. I send much love to the two of you and know that you will be surrounded by angels for the remaining 3 years (to finish out the 5), and everyday after that.
