When February began, I felt horrible about myself. Not only would I not allow even my husband to see me without clothes, I turned away from my full length mirror when I got out of the shower each day. I refused to go buy clothes in a bigger size, and I was down to 2 stretchy skirts and a small handful of tops that I could wear to work. I said "Enough is enough!"

I went to a doctor on Valentines Day and he agreed to let me try Phen, he also advised me to try Mesotherapy (thats a whole other thread).

I started the Phen the next morning. I did feel some of the expected side effects, dry mouth, sleeplessness etc. But most importantly my voracious appetite was finally abated. About two weeks after I started Phen, I had the energy to get back on my ole elliptical and exercise.

As of yesterday morning, I'm down 11 pounds! I've got 9 pounds to go to reach my goal! Yippee!!!!! I've braced myself because I know that last 10 pounds is the hardest to lose, but I'm ready! I went back to my doctor and he agreed to write me a prescription for 1 more months worth. I'm confident I can lose that pesky 9 pounds within that time!

Thank you to all of you who have inspired and helped me along the way!!! I especially have enjoyed the challenges I've joined!

Happy St. Patty's Day!!

You certainly sound like you have the proper mind set to lose those last pounds!!! Have you changed your eating habits so that once you hit goal and stop taking the phen you won't fall back on the bad habits that got you in trouble in the first place? I'm not trying to be a jerk by asking, I just know that too many times in the past i'd lose the weight only to put it all back on plus some because I slowly fell back into my bad habits. hopefully this won't happen to you!! I heard a great piece of advise the other day for maintaining...weigh yourself weekly to make sure you aren't gaining and of you gain a few pounds, attack them right then and there before they pile up and you are staring at 20 plus pounds to lose. I found it to be wise advice...something that I plan on doing way down the road when I make goal. Just thought i'd pass it on...Kepp up the great work!!!

That's funny Timi. (But not like I'm laughing at you funny.) Because I was going to put I FINALLY let me husband see me "in the buff" last night for the first time in months!!! Normally I am running like Diane Keaton did in Something's Gotta Give. We can do this, the final stretch, lose that last 10 (for me 20) pounds. But even this 10 is going to be very difficult for me! But I love this feeling of being not so fat and we have this board to keep us going!

Redsox~~ My regular eating habits aren't really too bad, We completely gutted and remodeled our kitchen this past fall. I didn't even have a kitchen sink or a microwave for 3 months! Fast Food is truly EVIL!!! I usually weigh myself several times a week, although I didn't when we were fast fooding because there wasn't much I could do to fix it at the time when I started gaining. I tend to gain 5-10# in the winter, and then work it off before shorts season every year. This year I was really alarmed when the 5-10 had become 20!

mfriga~~ Thank you!

benson~~ I strutted proudly through the bathroom this morning before I got in the shower. DH says I look great, but he said he's missing my b o o b s. I personally don't miss any of my extra fluff! We can do this last stretch! I'm sure of it!
