Just wondering how many of you go to a weight loss clinic or bariatric doctor to get your phen?

My regualar doctor will not prescribe me phen. I am not extremly overweight but I do have these last 15-20 lbs that will not come off no matter what! I have found only 1 weight loss clinic type doctor in my area. I want to make an appointment with him but I don't want to be turned down again.

How much luck have you all had with these type of docs prescribing phen?

My mother goes to a weight loss clinic for her phen. I think the rule of thumb for doctors even at weight loss clinics is your BMI has to be at least 27 or 28 before they'll give you phen. Although I'm sure there are always exceptions to the rule and if you talk to the doc at the clinic and explain you need to drop your last 15-20 he/she might give you a 1 month supply to help get you there.

btw, I like your screen name....very clever!

i go to a weightloss clinic. i was just at his lowest required BMI to start which is 27. i think what helped me get on it is that i have a really big history of heart problems on my dad's side of the family. when i had my first appt. i had to fill out a questionarre and it had alot of health risk questions. even though you are at the minimum BMI you still might get it based on you and/or family health history.

I called a weight loss clinic and they asked if I had at least 20 lbs to lose. Since I have 150 that's not a problem with me. I know my neice was having a hard time losing the last 15 lbs after losing her first 50 she did WW and lost it fairly easily. You might have better luck with something like that.

Default Weight loss clinic or bariatric doctor

If you are looking for weight loss doctor then i think the web is the best places where people can locate the information about the weight loss clinics. The most important when you are checking out the web sites then study the comments and feedback from the other users who have taken the services of the specific clinic.
