    Thinw/in - we were posting at the same time. That's interesting about the type of fiber. Sometimes I bloat uncomfortably, but not all the time.

    I'm really good about fiber intake with food too, but you know what I can't handle? Black beans. I can do kidney, pinto, navy, you name it, but black beans have put me into the hospital (before I figured it out - I thought I have having appediticis or gall bladder attack).

    First of all Lipstick I love the pictures of the lake and flowers.. Now that gave me the spring feeling...
    I'm sure some of you read Womens World Mag, well in there they have some detox plans. Yesterday was day 2 w/ doing the hot water w/ lemon and the 100% cran w/ water. As of this morning I am down 2 lbs. It does work. I went 3 times each day (weird for me). It's inexpensive and worth a try..

    Hi everyone,

    I am new here and this is my first time posting. I ordered the DN system and am still waiting for it to come in the mail, hopefully today! Anyways I just wanted to say hi and see how you all are. I am not on phen but wish I could be. I am afraid to ask my Dr to perscribe it to me. I am afraid they will say you don't need it. I am 5"3 and about 157 pounds. I carry all my weight in my stomach and my sides (love handles). I had 2 babies both c-sections and I am ready to lose this body. It is nto me and I am tired of it. I am hoping this system will clean me out and give me more energy. With 2 little ones I have no motivation or energy to do anything when I come home from working full time.

    Wow, I just typed a long post and lost it.

    MiPoo - 2 minutes to start, or 3-4 if you are constipated.

    Myangels - you have met your goal! That's wonderful! Are you done losing/just maintaining now, or is there a new goal?

BTW, it's not a contest, just a support forum where we can cheer each other on and share our diet and exercise trials and tribulations as we continue to lose weight.

    Welcome, supermom. If you really want the phen, just go to a doctor that will prescribe. I didn't go to my regular doctor for this. But you may not need it - maybe with Dr. N, a better diet, and some herbal supplements like green tea, hoodia, Tonalin CLA, and 5HTP you will do fine without.

    Just checking in to give an update. Everything seems fine w/ the DRN. I haven't gotten on the scale to see if there have been any "weight" changes, however clothes (jeans) are fitting a bit different. Haven't worked out in about 3wks, really depressing when I think about it. Too much going on I guess (not really)... Hopefully w/in the next day or two I will find/make it a priority again. Talk with all of you soon.

    hey everyone, have been lurking n reading what y'all have been saying...have convinced me to order some dr n...still waiting for it to come!! i am another that carries weight in the tummy, and it seems that under my fat and loose sking layer that my abs just stick way out there! so maybe this will help, kind of nervous about what might come out, don't want to even look at it!

    Hi Ladies! I really wish I had joined this conversation weeks ago when it started. I have missed out on all the great poop! <ha! ha!> May I share my experience? I did a natural colon cleanse several months ago (before starting on phen) thinking it would help with the bloating. It did and I felt wonderfully 'thin' (well, you know....) once everything got moving again. But then w/in a day or two it all came back, the bloating, weight gain, sensitive/tender stomach. UGH! I did a lot of online reading and found an article about food intolerances, so I started closely evaluating the things I was eating. To make a long story short (and believe me, I could give you all the boring details if you wanted to hear them!) I discovered I have a dairy intolerance and a wheat intolerance. Notice I didn't say allergy because I am not allergic to either one, but my digestive system cannot handle either one, especially the dairy. It causes tremendous bloating and gas which causes air pockets in me and prevents things from moving. I first eliminated dairy and felt tremendously better by the 2nd day, but I knew something still wasn't right, so several weeks later, after eliminating certain foods at certain times, I figured out the second intolerance was wheat (for some people it's gluten).
    If after the colon cleanse or the dr. n you are still experiencing the bloating, try a simple elimination diet and start w/dairy first (it is the most common). According to my doctor it is actually quote common for adults to develop food allergies or intolerances later in life. I truly miss cheese, sour cream, milk, etc. but I do NOT miss the bloating, gas, weight gain and tender stomach one bit. Adding cheese to my enchiladas is certainly not worth two days of discomfort (aka HELL!) And now if I accidentally eat something that contains dairy, I know it w/in the first 10 mins of eating.

    I have a question, I am going campingthis weekend and I know I will be doing some drinking. My question is how do I do the tea at night. I know it says before bed but my stomach won't be empty. I will have been drinking and probably eating. Also can I still take the flora pills before bed if I am drinking/eating? Does anyone know?

    I don't think you have to do the tea on an empty stomach. The flora pills are taken in the morning before you eat anyting and before the fiber mix.

    I am not doing the fiber everyday as I was nto moving and did not want to bulk up. I am still steeping tea for 15-20 minutes and doing the pills. Not too much action going on but oh well. I just want to finish the supply.

    I finally broke down and ordered some Dr. N. It should be here today. I am going to go back and read more of these posts and track my progress here.

    I've been having some stomach problems for the past month. It is getting better, but I'm hoping this will flush all of the toxins out of my body.

    I have the tea after I have had the snack for the night or done eating. As for the flora, I take that before bed. If recently ate...I still take it.

    Well, it's day 30 and I should take a break, but since I had a mini-break of 3 days late last week I'm going to keep going until I am out of the stuff (I got a 90-day supply for 2 of us, so that's 45 days each.

    Supermom - camping? Tell me there are real facilities there - you can't poop 3 times in the morning behind a bush. Yikes. As for the tea, my stomach is never empty when I take it - because it's usually an hour or so after dinner. Drinking shouldn't matter unless it is red wine. If it is red wine, steep the tea for less time so you don't get the runs the next day. Have fun!

    Pooping in the bushes, thats not a pretty site! No, we own a camper and we have a bathroom in there. I wouldn't be going otherwise.

    I started out great with DN but now I seem to be slowign down, I am on day 6 today. I know it is still early. I will say this my stomach has been makign the weirdest nouises. I am just waiting for a bomb to come out one of these days.

    Well I thought I would add in something that I think helped me. I did a colon cleans from my friend who is a natural medicine specialist. I did not loose any weight but I did notice my tummy was flatter. He stated that if you do not have any bad stuff in you then nothing extreme would come out, which he says is a good thing. So he has this other thing called a Aqua spa foot chi bath that he offers at his office, so I tried it. I put my feet in a tub of water and he put this probe thing in the water that was hooked up to a machine. The water then turns to a neg ion and which makes your body have neg ions and then your body releases all bad stuff in your body and is removed through the glands and blood system through your feet. I really don't know how it works but that is how I understand it. Soooo at this point I had lost 58 lbs (till middle of March) and was down to loosing 5 lbs a mth in Dec & Jan. Then in Feb I had only lost 1 lb for the month and that is why I did the colon cleans. His colon cleans was only 14 days and I lost no lbs. That is when I tried the foot spa. After the foot spa I lost 5 lbs in one week....amazing! I did the foot spa in the middle of March and I have now lost in total 66 lbs. So I don't know if this will help anyone but He charged me $35 to do the foot spa and I looked online and they go for like $2,000 but on eBay they are like $350. You might be able to find someone in your town that does offer the foot spa. I am thing though of getting one of them because 10 sessions will total what I can buy one on eBay for. I have looked before at the colon cleans that you all are trying and it looked like you can get some good results Good Luck to everyone!

    My report, day 33: Last night we went out for dinner and when we got home, we went straight to the bedroom for entertainment instead of just watching TV. Nice change of pace . Anyway, I feel asleep right afterwards so no tea. I woke up at 2 and didn't sleep much for the rest of the night, but it never occurred to me to get up and make the tea. This morning I had a dumb little poop and nothing since. I feel backed up and bloated - so I'm hoping for some serious action tomorrow morning if nothing else happens for the rest of the day.

    Trauma-mama - just take the fiber when you would have "breakfast" and drink the tea about an hour or so before you go to sleep. I think you'll find that after the first week or two, if you stick to an approximate schedule, things become regular. I don't want to be too graphic, but this is not like taking a laxative where you have to go NOW. It just makes you more regular and keeps you from feeling bloated all the time. It really isn't any big deal after awhile. I've been using the stuff for over a year (just fiber and tea). I find I do much better on it. Good luck!

    Hello, I'm new to this and was researching for feedback on DR.N's products.I've beem debating about getting this from the beginning, mainly because it is so darn expensive but I was lured to it b/c of the great testimonials that I've read on her website. I didn't want to spend that much money so I thought I try an alternative.
    I went out to look for something that was pretty close to the ingredients that DN had and I found this product called First Cleanse from Renew life. I took it for 2 weeks (Jan/07) and it helped a little with my chronic constipation and bloating. It's only a 14 day program. With that I added ground flax, flax or fish oil to my cereal, salads, etc. After I ran out of the capsules I continued added the ground flax, fish oil ot my cereal but then added 2 capsules of psyllium husk after eating my breakfast. I did pretty well for about close to 2 months. Then just about 3 weeks ago the bloating and constipation came back. I think it was from the Psyillum. So I broke down and got the DN 2 month program wtih Probiotics. I started the first two days exactly as the instructions ordered but I just felt worse. So the 3rd day I steeped my Kleri tea for 12-15 minutes and added 1 capsule of CleanseMore (from RenewLife) after 15 minutes of taking the probiotics. In addition to taking Dr.N's fiber in the morning, I've added 2 Tblsp of ground flax and flax oil to my oatmeal. I've been doing this step for the last 5 days and I've been getting some pretty good results. So far I've had 2 large BM's every morning. Although it would be nice to have at least one BM in the afternoon like after lunch but hey, 2 BM in one sitting, I'll take that any day. I've only completed one week and I'll continue to add the CleanseMore the 2nd week then I'll stop and experience what happens from there on. Now I only need to decipline myself to stay away from wheat and dairy. Wheats the hardest.

    I have cut down on taking the fiber everyday- not much movement going on and I don't want to be bloated. I am steeping the tea for 15-20 minutes and not much moving. I think I should try to add some flax or something else to my food. What does the flax do?

    Hello Everyone, My name is Amy and I just started the phen diet yesterday. i need advice, i have not went to the restroom regular for about two years. i have tried lots of water, all kinds of laxatives, olive oil, you name it... I need to do a cleansing, i bought one from GNC that you had to take in the morning and evenings for 7 days. it did nothing . All of my weight is in my stomache. The Dr told me that if i do not use the restroom on a regular basis i will likely not loose weight. I need something that will really work. i bought a laxative called Miralax yesterday and some pedialite. The Miralx is supposed to work within 3 days. i will see. I need to do a colon cleansing that works.... Please help!!!

    Dr N has really increased my production.

    I also eat a lot of fiber in my diet.

    Amyz06- I was giving my son Miralax, and man I avoid doing that at all cost. I don't know if is the same stuff, but I swear it has always been a mess. I would recommend DRN.... I think I am just about 1month in and I like it. Just a suggestion, keep tabs with the Miralax I am a bit interested in what happens/ed... Good Luck!

    MsDaneilNJ- Flax is a soluable fiber like psyllium but the benefits are gentler. I find that too much psyllium makes me very bloated and constipated. I'm not sure how taking more flax helps me to have a BM, it just does. I take a lot of flax throughout the day. I add it to my cereals, my salads, yogurt, etc. Flax has a lot more nutriental value than psyllium. It has an antioxidant to help with inflammation in the GI tract. This helps with my IBS as well. It also helps absorb the toxins. I don't think it matters if you get ground flax seed or the whole flax seeds. I like the ground better. Also, try adding spinach to your diet everyday. It's very rich in fiber.

    I had a colonoscopy in February last year and the worst part was the stuff they made you drink the night before. I have heard good stuff about the cleansing tea routine. The woman downstairs from me at work does it once every 3 months for internal health. You can apparently buy it at Safeway (porbably any grocery store)

    Today was day 8 for me. Nothing extraordinary to report. I am regular every morning. I am steeping my tea 10 minutes with no cramping. I'll check in again in a few days.

    Yes Amanda, the slim tea works great! It is senna leaf tea and senna is a natural laxative. I have drank it before...hot with a touch of honey. It actually tastes pretty good...but it does cause discomfort (cramping).

    well guys i finally got my DrN, and this is day 3 for me. i jumped the gun a little bit b/c i wanted quicker results and started steeping the tea for longer periods than the recommended 1-2 min for the first 5 days. so today things have been a little bit more crampy and liquidy...i have learned my lesson! all i could think of was all the extra fiber filling me up and not moving out although i was drinking the 2 liters of water. yes yes, i know i need to give it time and that i am only on day 3, so once again, lesson learned! am anxious to be cleaned out i guess and see what effect that has on how my tummy looks...will keep u all updated!
