Hey Everyone! I have only been on Phen for 1 week and three days, and the first 3 days I lost around 3 or 4 pounds.... then nothing for 3 or four days, I thought it just wasn't going to work for me because I knew the first few pounds were water weight! Then I did some researching on a supplement that would boost the weight loss. I went to Walmart and bought Tonalin CLA 1000mg and Green tea extract. I began taking them three days ago 2 of each with a meal twice a day... Since the second day of using these supplements along with the phen, I've lost an additional 8 pounds!!!! (in just a couple days) My husband is also doing the exact thing, he has lost 13 pounds! Unbelievable!! We have found ourselves eating a lot less, he's not eating as healthy as I am, but it's still coming off of him! We don't do any organized excercising, we have children, and when not working, our time is occupied by playing/chasing after them!
Sorry to go on like this, but I thought I would share mine and my husband success with this combo of supps! I wish everyone on here the best luck in the world, and if your stuck... give this a try, it may work for you too!!

By the by, yesterday a lady at our local grocer was giving out samples of the Green Tea drink and I tried some for the first time and that stuff is AWESOME! It tastes like a fruit drink and has zero fat grams.
I bought some of the CLA today and OMG something that smells that bad HAS to be good for you lol. I am going to try it tomorrow with the 37.5mg of Phen that I am currently taking. Which is the best way to take the phen and the CLA as I have bever done it before?
When you get your CLA, be sure to eat something with it... or you will feel pretty sick. I've done tons of research on this stuff, and it seems you really can't go wrong with it.
Something else I've been doing is I do the Special K diet thing... you know on the commercial it says you'll lose 10 lbs. in two weeks? Well 2 bowls a/day with skim milk, and a sensible dinner. You don't really get hungry, and it's good too. Also I drink lots and lots of water, not only because you should, but because I have really dry mouth with the phen, anyways I hope I've helped you all. I have been looking for some pointers on here for a while, but since I don't have much time to work out, I couldn't find much help. So I started looking elsewhere for info, and found it! I know GNC has it, or you can get it online. I almost didn't find it at my walmart also. They had it stuck on the very bottom shelf, in the back. I asked someone, and they found it for me... Rite aid or some other drug store may have it also. I got mine for like $12 or $13. Online, it seems a bit more expensive though. I hope you guys can find it and it works for you! well i went back to walmart yesterday and guess what? they had the tonalin all along...i was looking in the diet section, and this was where i found the plain ole CLA tabs for almost $20...BUT the tonalin was actually located on the next aisle over..in the vitamin section...LOL...$12.88 and they were out...

I do take the green tea pills. I got them from Walmart also, in the vitamin & supplement section. I'm not sure what brand, but I take 2 twice a day. I just take them the same time I take the CLA.

I started taking CLA on Sunday after reading about it in this forum. I take it right after a meal. I also take vitamins which include fax seed oil. My question is..... Is it OK to take the CLA at the same time I take my morning vitamins (as long as it is after a meal). Does the CLA burn the fat in the calories that you consume that day or does it burn the belly fat that is stored? Im afraid it will weaken or void out my vitamins if I take them together. I also take another 2 cla sometime later in the day and also 2 more fax seed oil. I feel like Im taking pills all day long and would like to group them together as much as possible. I usually take my Phen by itself first thing in the am with 2 glasses of water and wait 30 min to eat. In addition to the Phen, CLA, fax seed oil, i take multi vitamin for women, calcuim and stool softener. Does this sound OK? I normally drink at least 64 oz of water but I also drink 1 or 2 diet soft drinks also. Coffee in the morning too. Does this sound like a good regiment??? Need advise.
According to the clinical trials on CLA that I've read, it burns fat that already exists. I also take my vitamins with the CLA, and the phen first thing in the am. IMO you are doing everything right! Do you take the stool softner every day? I would die!! LOL!! Anyway everything sounds good in my opion!
No, I only take the stool softeners (2) every other day. They are very mild. Thanks for the info. I am really looking forward to seeing what the CLA can do in a month from now.

Started the green tea on Saturday and Sunday and it worked pretty good. (Didnt use the phen though.... )Today I started on phen w/ the green tea and it worked really well. Not hungry at all. Had a very low calorie intake. I drank alot of water because I was very thirsty.I did get a little headache though. After I ate supper I was OK. I am going to keep using them together.
Good for you joggrri! I need to update my ticker, but I have lost an additional 4 pounds since last weigh in! I'm at 137 now! WOW in the 130's again! I can tell a lot in my stomach, I feel like the CLA is doing its job! Just thought I'd update everyone! Good Luck to you all!

I ordered CLA and Green tea pills last week.
I still had some Hydroxycut in my cabinet, so I decided to try them with Phen until my CLA and Green tea got here. I lost another pound in 2 days since I started them - 1 at 9am and 1 at 2pm.
I am guessing any type of "fat burner" or "metabolizer" helps in the process also. Mine will be here Friday, so I will see if I can tell a difference in the Hydroxycut and the CLA/Green tea mix.
Glandenpi - I'm totally amazed!!! :eek: Congratulations on losing another 4 lbs and getting into the 130's. I've been stuck in the 130's forever. How many mg of phen are you taking?
I haven't bought the green tea pills because I thought green tea is just caffiene and I read on here that it's not good to have caffiene with phen because it makes your body process and excrete the phen faster. But seeing your great results, I'm going to have to get me some!
I went to CVS and got decaffienated green tea pills. We'll see if these help.

After reading about CLA and how good it seems to work for some of you, I am dying to try it. Just wondering though----I want to make sure it is safe to take it together with the Phen. That wouldn't be like a diet pill overload would it? I know the phen speeds up your heart rate, etc., and just wondering of CLA combined with it would be safe enough. I've tried to find information on the web, but couldn't really find this specific information. Any information you have on taking the 2 together would be helpful. I usually only take half of a 37.5 mg phen every other day, but right now I'm taking them every day because I've hit a plateau and need a jumpstart. THANKS! Cary :D
I take green tea herbal tablets and drink about 4/5 cups of it a day - I really like the taste. When I tried losing weight it really helped with shedding the pounds. Now gonna try phentermine as well!
Blu- the phen is a appetite suppressant, and the CLA is a fat burner. Many 'diet pills' have the two properties combined. I haven't read anywhere that you can not take them together. I've been on them for a few weeks and have only had positive effects. I'm no doctor though, this is just what I've been doing, and a lot of other members here are also taking them together. Blugreen - CLA is only safflower oil. So it doesn't react with phen.

Blu- The Green Tea pills are antioxidants. I began taking the CLA and Green Tea pills at the same time, so I'm not sure which attributes to my weight loss the most. Though taking the Green tea pills will not harm you at all, they are actually really good for you. I just read on a forum that the combo boosts your weight loss, so I tried them.

Is CLA Safe to Take With My Thyroid Medications?

Is CLA Only for People with Thyroid Problems?

How Much Should I Take?

The confusion is because an older version of Natrol's Tonalin CLA did contain soybean oil, but that product has been discontinued. The Drugstorecom website, however, is still carrying the inaccurate information that Natrol Tonalin CLA contains soybean oil.
Tonalin's formula contains CLA from safflower oil, and NO soybean oil or soy. Please be advised that some off-brands of CLA may contain soybean oil, or soy products, as fillers, and you would NOT want to take these products.
Where Can I Get CLA?
GNC stores have some products with CLA, and Whole Foods Markets are also reported to have the products. The Tonalin site lists a variety of stores that sell products containing Tonalin CLA.
Online, you can get Natrol's Tonalin CLA -- the brand I personally take -- as well as many other brands, at popular retailers like Drugstorecom and Iherbcom.
How Should I Take It?
The various recommendations differ here. Some recommendations suggest to take it before eating. Others suggest to take it with meals.
The Natrol web page for their Tonalin CLA product says to take it preferably with lowfat or nonfat milk for maximum protein absorption. Personally, I'm taking it right before I eat with some 2% milk.
Does CLA Have Any Side Effects?
Some people report feeling slightly green or nauseous after taking their CLA, or isolated cases of gastrointestinal upset or loose stools.
These side effects typically are reduced when the product is taken with protein (i.e.,with milk), and usually decrease after about 2 weeks taking the supplement.

I periodically take the Natrol Tonalin CLA.
Usually, in the first three weeks, my abdominal fat "pooch" shrinks. Other "fattier" areas (such as cheeks, upper arms, rear end) seemed to be slowly reducing as well.
I also notice that my appetite is somewhat reduced. I had two or three days my first week when I felt a bit green after taking my CLA, but I began to take it with a bit of milk, which eliminated that problem. Other than that, I had no other gastrointestinal problems with it. I go on and off the CLA, based on my use of other fatty acids.
CLA has been the subject of a variety of research in the past several years, and findings also suggest that some of the other benefits of CLA include the following:
1...Increases metabolic rate -- This would obviously be a positive benefit for thyroid patients, as hypothyroidism -- even when treated -- can reduce the metabolic rate in some people.

Thanks for the info! I went and picked up the CLA today and I'm going to try it out. i was looking for decaffeinated green tea pills as somewhat had stated somewhere in the forums, but I couldn't find it. I may try that next week after I see how the CLA works first.
OK. So here are my questions....
For everyone that has started taking the CLA, how is it going?
When do you take it?
Is it agreeing with you (making you sick)?
Is it working?
Do you take the Phen first in the morning before the CLA?
Do you take the Phen later in the morning after the CLA?
I'm questioning because I'm thinking of getting the CLA. But I dont want to have that sick to the stomach feeling. I take my Phen @ 11:00 am. Cant take it in the morning before eating because I get sick to my stomach with a headache.

I'd like to know what time is best too and with or without food. I think it says with a meal is best. I take my phen around 9:30 in the morning on an empty stomach. If anyone is on the green tea, when do you take that and how much, too?
