    Michi--let us know how they do for you. I did pretty well my first day yesterday on both the CLA and green tea. Wasn't as hungry as I would have been using nothing and got in a good workout. I'm going to the gym today and I'll weigh and see if I've lost anything else. Hopefully with using these, I can take a "holiday" for a while from Phen. Everyone keep posting on the CLA and gree tea. I'm curious to see what kind of results people have.

    I have been on the CLA and Green Tea 1 week now.

    I lost .5 overnight the first time I took it, then .5 this morning.

    I started taking 1/2 of my 37.5 mg tablet at 7am and at 1pm, to see if that helps me with dinner hunger.

    It's my ToM so I probably won't notice a difference for another week.

    I did notice a 1" loss from my waist though !! I can handle that since I haven't been losing from my "stomach" area much so I am happy.

    Anyone else have any positive signs it's working?

    I haven't weighed since Monday and I was down 2 pounds then, but that was on the day I started green tea and I had only taken CLA once, so I know they weren't the cause of that. I weigh at the gym and I haven't made it back there since MOnday (been working out at home). I do plan on getting back there tomorrow because I want to see if I've had any luck with the CLA and green tea this first week. But, like you, Imt, it's my TOM too, so might have had no luck this week. I don't notice anything as far as weight loss this week, in fact I feel bloated of course. Maybe next week will be better.     I use the CLA from vitamin ****** it is in liquid form and it has a rasberry flavor ... it actually tastes pretty good! They recomend liquid because more of it gets absorbed in your system!

    Ok ladies, dont let this thread die. Post your results, good or bad....Today was day 21 on CLA and day 16 on green tea. I started back on my phen on Friday.Yeah!!!! I had a 4 lb lose since Friday (after a 4 lb gain last week) so Im right back at 156. Goal weight is 150. I have been working out pretty hard. Seems like my green tea is beginning to lose its effect but it does make me drink LOTS of water. Still not seeing anything on the CLA.
    Something else I tried this week and really love.... Working out in the morning before going to work and after bathing afterwards, I have been using a skin firming lotion. It really makes you feel tight and good in your clothes for 4 or 5 hours. Also started back on a B complex vitamin (good for energy)A couple of mornings I have drank a sugar free red bull. I have been reading ALOT, mostly fitness mags and some articles are pro caffiene (sp?) and some are con caffiene. Personally I like the effects of caffiene. Anyway......chime in and let everyone know your progress. If anyone is using weights, what size are you using? (Im talking about the little hand held barbell looking ones) I have been using a 10 lb for quite awhile now and wanted to get a 15 lb but they dont have anything over 10 lbs in the womens section. Im not opposed to buying a masculine looking weight but maybe this means women shouldnt use over 10 lbs. I dont know... Please advise if you have any ideas.     Hey! I was glad to see this one posted on again. I've been on the CLA and green tea for a week now and I'm going to the gym to weigh today. I thought the green tea was beginning to lose it's effect, but I didn't take any Saturday or Sunday and when i took it again monday it was back working like it originally did. It gives me just the boost I need for a good workout, but I don't know if I've lost anything. I've been trying to drink at LEAST 64 ounces of water a day.

    Joggrri--I use 10 pound also. Now, a year or so ago when I was really into weights I would use the 15 pound dumbells. They had all of the dumbells together in my gym for whoever (men or women) to use. I think it's just up to you and whatever you feel like is comfortable for you to get in all your reps, etc.

    joggrri- Hey, the first time I got into weights was in high school. My trainer was totally oblivious to the difference of men and women. He never told me low weights/high reps... so I built my way up to a lot of weight. I ended up bulking up big time. my biceps were really big and I hated it. Though I was toner all over the biceps looked really unnatural. I guess my point is just take it slow and work at a pace your comfortable with, and if it were me, low weight and high high reps.

    Also with the effect of the CLA, don't go by weight since you're weight training (muscle is heavier than fat) be sure to check your measurements.

    With me... I am very pleased still with my loss. I don't think I could be doing this well without the CLA and green tea! I'm still on phen too. I've lost 18 lbs. in a month. I only have 9 more pounds to go... I can't wait!! You guys are a real inspiration!! Keep posting with your updates, you're all doing great!

    Well, I just went to the gym and I am still at 122. I thought I would have lost now that TOM is gone, but guess I'm happy i didn't gain. I'm going to stick with the CLA and green tea though because it is helping me to take a holiday from the phen for a little while.

    HaHaHaHa! That's too funny. That kind of sounds silly to me also to be complaining about 122, but I was at 115 before and like that much better than being at the 135 I was a couple of years ago. At my height, I really have to watch every pound. The rolls and dimples come out really quick! Thanks for the laugh....and have a GREAT day!

    I'M TAKING A BREAK FROM PHEN BECAUSE I HAVE REACHED A PLATEAU...I HAVE BEEN TAKING THE CLA FOR 3WEEKS NOW AND JUST DON'T KNOW IF ITS WORKING...I HAVEN'T BEEN TAKING THE GREEN TEA CAUSE I WASN'T SURE IF IT REALLY "SPEEDS UP" THE METABOLISM...IF IT DOES ISN'T IT KINDA LIKE CAFFEINE, CAUSE I CAN JUST TAKE A CAFFEINE DRINK FOR THE SAME EFFECT ...RIGHT?? WELL ANYWAYS...WHAT SHOULD I TAKE DURING THIS TIME OFF FROM PHEN...I WAS HOPING WHEN I RE-START THE PHEN IT'LL BOOST BACK AND WORK GREAT AGAIN...I WAS GOING BE OFF THE PHEN FOR ABOUT 2 WEEKS(is that enough?)

    Janiz--That is exactly the same thing I'm doing right now (taking a short break from phen). The green tea gives me a boost, but you're right, it may be the same effect you'd get from an energy drink. They say it takes several weeks to notice anything with the CLA though. I do think that I'm donig better taking these two while I'm off the phen than if I wasn't taking anything at all though so I'm going to keep taking them for another week and then start back on the phen and see if it's like starting over. I sure hope it is because after a week and a half on just green tea and CLA, i haven't lost anything and don't notice any difference in my measurements, etc. It's kind of discouraging, but I'm going to give it another week. I really miss the "not hungry" feeling I get with the phen, but I am sleeping SO MUCH BETTER without it.

    I've only been using CLA too. I went to the doc for a check up after taking cla, green tea, and phen for 3 days and my BP was a little high. I know it's a side effect of phen, but I thought I would see how it is if I stopped green tea. I don't know if it's working yet or not either...

    Just got back from mini vacation to the lake. Didnt take any exercise equipment with me or my scale but I tried to eat right. I gained 2 lbs but thats OK. I did get to ride my bike a little bit on the trails. The reason I wanted to post is because we drove into OK City one day and I ******d a little. I am in a size 8 now. I was a 14 for years, ballooned up to a 18 last year and now............I got a chance to look myself over real good in one of those big dressing room mirrors and I couldnt believe all of the places that I have lost weight. Actually I have lost very little weight this past month. I have been teetering around 155 -163. It is really wierd that I have gotten this small with my weight staying in the same range. It has to be the CLA. I am literally shrinking. I am pretty sure this is the CLA working because I have never seen this before when I dieted. This is so exciting.

    Congratulations to all of you who are losing. And thanks for all the feedback on the weights.

    Yes, I did and it worked very well for me. It helped me tremendously to lose my belly weight. I continue to take CLA as a daily supplement. Please give it at least 4-6 weeks before you see results.

    I am glad to see that you are posting again. What is it that the CLA does for you? I have been taking it going on 4 weeks and I am getting smaller but not actually losing weight. I still have quite a bit of belly fat to get rid of. Can you continue to take it as a supplement for as long as you want to?...........joggerri

    I found a brand of CLA at Wal-mart, but it wasn't the brand I read about on here, so I didn't' get it. I went ahead and got the Green Tea Pills though they are 315mg and the directions say to take two pills twice a day with a meal. So I did today and I noticed that I had a little more energy. Can anyone recommend a specific brand of the CLA and where I could get it besides Wal-Mart? Thanks.

    Hi all.....
    You can see in my signature all the things Ive tried, I am now on CLA and Hoodia (not even a week)
    I started CLA cause of one of MONA's threads. Iknow it takes a while to see results... Ill keep u guys posted to see if it works.

    arent' you guys afraid of things like heart attacks, or strokes...and what about crashing, i mean eventually we have to get off this stuff don't we? the more we take the more addicted and more difficult it's going to be to get off it when it's time. just a thought, i know we're all dying to be thin, but i'd hate to see that become literal.

    Mni5...do a little research on CLA before you post that...CLA has quite alot beneficial attributes OTHER than weight loss. Plus it is taken even when not "dieting".
