Default 3 WEEKS IN AND 4 POUNDS LOST

Ihave been back on phen 3 weeks now and 4 pounds lost, that is nothing like the weight losses I see here.It can be very frustrating! I know everyone is different but 4 pounds ****s.I go back diet doctor next week, gee I hope it will be at least 5. He told me to aim for 5,I take Synthroid and have no thyroid but I lost 8-10 a month last time on phen. I do need to increase exercise I know. What do people that lose 15-20 pounds in a week or month eat!!!

My first time on phen, in my early 20s, I lost weight super fast. I basically starved myself though, so as soon as the phen was gone, I couldn't stick to my "plan", and ended up right back up, and then some. Many years and many pounds later, and I'm starting over again, this time with a much more sensible plan that I can hopefully stick to forever. The first couple of weeks I lost ~5 lbs each week, now usually 1-2, sometimes more, sometimes none. And yes, it's frustrating to watch others report huge losses, and here I am ticking right along. Some of those people have better metabolisms, are more active, have dieted less often and are less resistent, are younger and have an easier time losing... And some are following unhealthy or unsustainable plans to see the lbs go quicker. But phen isn't a magic bullet... it's an aid to help control your hunger until you get used to a new way of eating. And while quick results are more encouraging, if it's not done in a healthful way, the end result won't last. Granted, I have to keep reminding myself that every day! I'd love to lise 10 lbs a week! I'd be at my goal in mere months! But I figure if it takes me a year, or even more, to get to my goal, if I have set it up so I can stay there forever, then what does it matter? I think it's awesome so many people are getting such great results! But special props to those of us who are chugging along a little more slowly. Celebrate every pound, you've worked hard to see it gone!

Also, are you just counting calories? What are you eating for those 1300-1600 a day? Different people do better with different types of food plans. I'm a low carber myself, prefer counting carbs instead of calories. But I find some foods, like proteins and fiber rich foods, "stick with me" longer, so I don't feel so hungry/deprived. Processed foods tend to make you feel less full, so you get hungrier quicker.

tomorrow makes 3 weeks for me and ive lost 16lbs! I stay under my 1100 calorie diet. Yes at first its hard because your used to eating whatever but after a couple days you get used to it and your belly shrinks and doesnt need as much to be full! Also they tell you dont eat till your stuffed eat till your satisfied The weight will start falling off. Maybe your eating to many calories? When your hungry why not grab a piece of string cheese or an apple? How much water are you drinking? You should be drinking half your weight in water at the min.! When i get a little hungry ill munch on some pretzel sticks and drink my water and i will be fine. Also do you take your pill before or after you eat? I know people who do both and ive tried both. Ive noticed that im not as hungry if i take it first drink my water wait about 30mins to an hour and then eat an apple or a small breakfast! 4lbs is still a loss though and EVERYONE losses at different paces. So congrats on a loss

    Hi newoutlook,
I also have thyroid issues and shedding any amount of weight can be tough - so congratulations on the 4 lbs!
I have noticed that if I stick to a high protein diet I don't get hungry nearly as quickly, especially for breakfast. Starving is not the answer but finding a healthy diet that works for your body. Try it for a couple of meals and see what you think. You can always change and best of luck!

Has your doctor given you anything else along with the Phen each month? I've noticed with my own weight loss (20lbs. in 6 weeks) that a B12 shot tends to help a lot. If he doesn't prescribe you a B12 shot or doesn't usually do them in combination with Phen, go to the Vitamin ****** or GNC and ask for B12. They have liquid versions of B12 that you can take everyday and it's really known to boost weight loss. I would also consider your stress level! Stress really is a demon to weight loss. Healthy mind leads to healthy body as LAME as that sounds. One of the most realistic, influential things I've learned through my 4 year Psych degree. Work on your stress. Work on your diet plan as well. You have to learn to listen to your body while on Phen because it will tell you when you need to eat something and then you've had enough and need to stop. Don't be surprised if you eat 6 small meals a day.. it's better to do THAT than to stuff LARGE portions of food in your mouth during all 3 meals. It's actually primitive that humans think they have to eat 3 huge meals as food used to be scare (hunter-gather, caveman days) but since food is SO prominent now we don't NEED to eat as much as we THINK we do. Keep trying! Like everyone's said, it's different for everyone. Work on how you FEEL versus what you see on the scale. If the scale stresses you out every time you get on it then DON'T use it! I usually go by my energy level and pant size. Whatever works for you!

Thank you for all the advice, my diet is usually pretty much balanced,i try to eat higher protein, lower fat and halthy carbs. I dont exclude any catagory of food but limit sugar. Breakfast usually greek yogurt with fruit or egg beaters with veggies. Light high fiber lower calorie bread or english muffins sometimes.i try to increase fruits ans vegetables and track it on myfitnesspal. Low carb i tried on two different occasions and got horribly sick, lightheaded dizzy nauseated. Exersize needs help, hard time fitting it in. Stress level very high, single mom of teenage boys, working fulltime plus and work stress. stress is a hard one.I see doctor on friday.thank you everyone

I answered above from my phone earlier. Can't type too good on there. My doctor does not use B12 shots,I do have some B complex vitamins I used to take more for energy.Thyroid issues play a role too,I never felt the same since I had my thyroid out and levels fluctuate with losing and gaining weight. It is not just as simple as taking a pill and all is well like they told me before I had it out.Age too,I am in my 40's now I guess.I am going to join the planet fitness at end of week, last time on phen I worked out 4-5x week for 1hr 15 min,I am only walking sporadically now.I never lost more than 10 in a month though even last time.
