My knees just pop and grind during exercise like you wouldn't believe. I mainly do the elliptical and then when i do my squats. I CANNOT do lunges-no way now how!
It doesn't hurt my knees when i exercise and it doesn't hurt afterwards either.
Am i hurting my knees? Like deep down inside? Will i regret this when i'm 50??

It actually scared me to death! I never had this until I bought that Elliptical. (aka: the death machine) lol The next day, we went out and bought a good Recumbent Bike and I've never had or heard that popping noise again!
Now, the interesting part of all this was after using the Elliptical and my knees were sounding awful. I thought I permanently damaged them. I consulted with my Orthopedic Surgeon about this right before buying my new Recumbent Bike. He told me that the Elliptical Machines are NOT Non-Impact and can cause much stress to your knees. He told me that if I heard those noises coming from my knees while or after using it, to get rid of it! He's actually had patients come in with knee injuries from using an Elliptical! I love my Treadmill & Bike. I do an hour a day, 7 days a week and never have any pain or noises! lol
Don't ignore those noises guys, please be careful! Don't believe everything you read about those Ellipticals.
