Maia ...

That's a tricky one.

Several factors are at play here:

1) What will you be eating in an average day? If you keep everything else healthy ... get exercise and drink plenty of water, you should be OK.
2) What "sweets" are you thinking of, and can you eat them in a very moderate portion?
3) Will once or twice a week lead you to wanting them 3 or 4 times a week? (or even once a day?)

If you look at these questions honestly, you will know the answer, based on your eating habits. I don't think you should eliminate any specific food from your life forever - most of us just need to eliminate a specific type of eating behavior(s) from our lives forever.

Does that make sense?

THANKS TREE, THAT DOES MAKE A LOT OF SENSE. WHEN I SAY SWEETS, I MEAN MAYBE A CANDY BAR OR A LITTLE DEBBIE CAKE. I'VE COME A LONG WAY, I USE TO EAT CANDY AND JUST PLAIN JUNK EVERYDAY ALL DAY. AND SODAS, OH MY GOSH, I WOULD DRINK ABOUT 3 SOMETIMES 4 A DAY. NOW, I MIGHT DRINK A SODA ON THE WEEKEND, I DRINK MOSTLY WATER NOW, OR KOOL-AID WITH A SMALL AMOUNT OF SUGAR. (BUT MOSTLY WATER) THAT'S A VERY BIG STEP FOR ME. I JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT EATING A CANDY BAR EVERY NOW AND THEN WOULDN'T MESS ME UP ON TRYING TO LOSE WEIGHT.

maia - of course you can eat a candy bar if you want to.. but do you really want to? What I mean by this is.. you are taking Phen as your tool to control the hunger while you change your bad habits and learn the right portions for everyday meals. Diet has become a four letter word in todays society, but truely our daily "diets" are what we consume on a regular basis.

If you truly want to lose the weight and change your habits for the longterm, I would say stay away from those treats as best you can. If you must indulge, try just having a bite or two to satisfy the craving, without all the fat and calories. OR make up for the extra calorie by cutting back somewhere else or doing more exercise. See, that is the key we all need to learn to do... everything in moderation and make allowances for it.
