Default How much weight did you lose in your first month?

Everyone that I know says they lost their most weight in the first two months on Phen. I was just wondering how much weight everyone that has been on it lost their first month and then their second month as well. Thanks:]

Last time I was on phen I lost 10lbs in the first month, this time around I lost 18lbs. The difference is that I wasnt losing baby weight the first time around, I started phen this time 2 weeks after having my baby and am sure its mainly water. This month will be slower, I'm aiming for 10lbs but will be happy with 7-8

I had already been counting calories/smaller portions and exercising since Feb and was down about 25lbs on my own. 25lbs in 5 months on my own, I know a loss is a loss, but I was hoping for at least 2lbs loss a week. I started Phen July 13 at 241 (I'm 5'7) My 4 week Aug 13 checkup I weighed 219....down 22lbs first month. I really stepped up my workouts, upped my water intake and watched what I ate like a hawk. 8 week check up on Sept 10th was 208, that was down 11lbs month 2. My goal now starting month 3 is to lose at 8lbs a month. I am already nervous about the holiday months coming up, but I have invested too much hard work (and money!!) into getting this weight off to have a relaspe during the holidays, it's not worth it!! I just have to remind myself that if I stay focused I will be at my goal weight by the end of January.

There should be a code to copy to a bulletin board forum, then you need to go into your settings and go to "edit signature" paste the code in that and it should show up in your posts.

I get weighed in every two weeks. first weigh in was 16lbs lost and for a while i was losing 3 to 4lbs a week! thats 7 to 8 lbs every two weeks! i was on a strict diet and was workingout at least 3 times a week. Now i added a few things back into my diet like bread and i get to cheat every weekend because i dont wanna come off phen and have a hard time dealing with my cravings. I am still losing weight but instead of losing 8 lbs every two weeks im loosing 2 to 4 pounds which is healthy anyways so i dont feel so bad.

I started Sept 13th and when I weighed in this last Friday my total weight loss for the past 35 days was 16 lbs. The Dr keeps telling me this is the best rate to loose weight, but I can't help wanting lower #s. But as you said Any loss is better then a gain!

I lost about 12 pounds at my 1 month mark. Why is your doctor upping your pill? It isn't the pill that makes you lose weight... the pill is just a tool to help you control your appetite while you adjust to making healthier choices. I'll tell you how I've lost and continue to lose- it is basic math. Eat less calories than your body requires to create a deficit. A deficit of 3500 calories = 1 pound. I eat a deficit of at least 7000 calories a week (2 pound loss) but some weeks I have a greater deficit b/c of exercise... I can eat those calories (which I often do) or just let them add to my deficit (i.e. more weight loss). I use myfitnesspal to track my intake. I drink 100+ oz of water daily. I exercise or at least do some type of activity (even if it is house cleaning) to get my heart rate up daily. I do not have any restrictions on what I eat- but I have found that I can stay within my daily limits (1200 calories, 165 carbs, 40 fat, 45 protein) and eat 1 fast food meal OR if I make healthier food choices (i.e. unprocessed, natural foods) that I can eat on those calories all day long!

If you are tracking your daily food intake, let me know what your typical diet consists of and what your exercise regimen is like and hopefully we can help you pinpoint the culprit. I'm not an expert and what I do may not work for you... but it is simple... establish a caloric deficit, exercise more, drink more water = weight loss and overall better health!

Dont feel bad - the 25th is my 1 month mark and I've only lost 8 lbs.... I've been stuck for the past week -10 days and I'm doing everything I'm supposed to.

I think it may have something to do with our org. start weights......although high for us - if we did the math and looked at overall percentage lost vs. those that lose 20+ lbs in a month, I think it would work out to be about the same percentage.

I'm just happy the scale isnt going the other way at this point, although I am a bit discouraged its not budging lower.

I lost 35 but I would for sure not compare my loss with most people(that can be discouraging). Being a guy it tends to come off quicker, keep going it will come off!

I went to my weigh in yesterday and have lost 9 pounds. I was discouraged at first, but had to remember a loss is a loss is a loss.
And my doctor seemed pretty pleased, so if I can continue, I should reach my goal in 5 months.

Heres a big reminder if you ever doubt a loss: If you have less to lose to begin with you will lose slower most of the time, if you look you will see that most of us have around a 60-hundred pounds or so to lose, not 20-40. The closer you get to your goal the harder it gets. It is not possible to lose more than 3-4lbs of fat a week, most people lose a lot of water weight our bodies were storing because we werent drinking enough water. Some months you will lose a lot and others almost none, it takes time for our bodies to catch up on the scale, in inches, and in clothes etc. If you get discouraged because of the scale, put it away, stress increases cortisol thus making us stall or gain weight. Look in the mirror, do you see a difference? Does your skin feel healthier, are your clothes looser? Do you feel good that your just trying to be healthy? I am happy that I am just trying, I feel great when I am active and eating right, because I'm doing everything right, instead of shoveling food in my mouth and sitting on the couch. Look at other achievements instead of the scale. Did you know that 8 oz of cold water burns around 35 calories? Because our bodies have to warm the water up, youve never peed cold have you? Well 100 oz of cold water a day is 355 calories! so sometimes we have to account for calories were burning that we dont even know were burning, because the more you exercise the more you burn as well, and we cant burn calories if were not eating enough. I know some are sceptic about starvation mode but I believe in it big time, if I eat less than 1200 calories for too long my body stops losing weight, I aim for 1200-1800 calories a day and I keep losing. While you see anorexics yes, they tend not to eat period at all and lose muscle mass and nutrition. Someone with lap band or gastric bypass may restrict calories but they are also on all liquid diets, so they are still consuming things they need for nutrition. I wouldnt want to lose like that because its restrictive, its hard, and they have sagging skin that insurance will not cover the removal of because its cosmetic. I do know people who gained weight from not eating enough, I am one of those people, I would only eat one time a day at dinner..and at times I would binge. My husband is the same way, eats about once a day and doesnt lose weight. You kill your metabolism that way, if you feed your body your metabolism keeps burning calories. Were like cars and cant run without fuel. 1-2lbs a week is healthy and your body will be able to adjust. You want to be able to do this for the rest of your life, not just for now, so dont be so restrictive, you will get hungry again after phen, you will crave things, and if you dont know what to eat and get really hungry off of phen, more than likely you will cave and gain the weight back.

I feel your pain!!! I lost 3 lbs in the first week, 4 lbs in the second week, actually gained a pound in the 3rd week and lost the pound in the 4th. My doctor said 7 lbs was good and she was happy (definitely happier than me!). I was on 15mg and she increased it to 30mg. I average 1,200 cals/day and don't want to cut any more because the meal plan I'm following is something I did before taking Phen and can do afterwards too.

I wish you more loss in month 2!!
