I'm back and Prozac question

HI everyone. I see lots of new faces here. Well I'm back after getting off Phen because I wasn't able to sleep at night and I got a new job so I needed a lot of rest at night. Even though I was only on Phen a short time it realy helped me but I know now I NEED to be back on it! My appetite is so out of control, I eat at every turn for no reason. I ate so much yesterday I'm still full, lol. Well, before I order some more Phen I need to know if it is possible to take Prozac and Phen together? I asked my Dr. but he said, "go to the gym and cut calories". Yeah it's that easy guy!Any help would be greatly appreciated and glad to be back!

I am sure you can take them together, but asking your doctor is a good ideal. The only draw back of Prozac is that you have NO and I mean NO sex drive. I was on Prozac for 3 weeks and I got off of it because I had NO desire for sex. A couple of my friends were on it as well and they had the same side effect and dropped Prozac like a bad habbit.

p.s. i was on prozac and phen at the same time and had no problems at all.

It was the only thing that helped me to lose weight when i was on the prozac. regardless of what they "tell you" SSRI's make most people gain weight.

one more thing... just be aware of Seratonin Syndrome - didn't cause me any trouble but it is out there - do a little research and just be aware of your changes - just in case.

Thanks guys. I too have noticed my drop in sex drive but I much rather only have sex once a week now instead of crying almost everyday at the drop of the dime and being worried/compulsive about any and everything. I will also look into Seratonin Syndrome. Thanks again.

My doctor gave me a perscrip. for prozac 10mg and phentermine 15mg and this is my second day on them and I feel no differant.

Thanks, do you take them both in the a.m.? I'm thinking about taking my Prozac in the evening and Phen in the am? What cha think? TIA

I was told to take the prozac in the morning and the phentermine at noon after lunch, I have a couple sheets from my doctor that explains everything and the best things to eat while on phen. to lose the weight fast and healthy. I just started two days ago. Wish me luck, and I wish you luck..
