Thread: Started Phen today........

    Hey everyone,

    I started my first round with Phen today! I am so excited. I am on the 37.5 and I must admit it has me feeling a little flighty. I hope this feeling doesn't last long! Has anyone else experience this when first starting Phen? I haven't felt hungry all day and I had no choice but to drink tons of water because my mouth is so dry! I can't wait to begin to see results!!!

    I love your screen name. Yeah, I think that we all felt "flighty" the first several days but it does pass. Be sure to eat something even though you are not hungry. It's wonderful to keep drinking that water. It helps. Good luck on your weight loss journey!

    Thanks for the words of encouragement! I don't have problem eating.... just eating the right foods! Does anyone have a diet plan that you use that you'd like to share?

    Hey New Attitude!

    Congrats on starting w/Phen! I just started myself yesterday. Today was my second day on it. I am on the 30mg and haven't felt too flighty. I definately haven't felt hungry, which is a GREAT thing!

    As far as a diet plan, there are tons you can follow. If you've never seriously dieted before Weight Watchers is great. You follow a points system so you can eat whatever you want, just within your points range. But if you're not into WW, basically you need to watch your fat grams, lower your carb intake (not cut it out, but I bet you're eating more than 50% carbs) and increasing your protein. I feel that a 30% fat/30% protein/40% carbs is a good ratio. You can track it at fitday.com (check out the site ... awesome!!). Also, I sometimes follow something called the Tropical Diet. I made friends with the nutritionist that created this one. Basically, there are 3 plans: Lean, Athlete, and Basic. I follow the Athlete 1200 ]cal plan. That allows 5 servings protein (80cal per serving or 1 oz of meat or 2 oz of fish), 2 servings of fat (45cal), 3 servings of veggies, 6 servings of fruit, 3 servings of grain, 2 servings of milk. If you want I can write down the details of each plan for you and the different calorie levels (1200, 1500, 1800).

    Ultimately it depends on your goals and what you can and can't live without. I feel WW is a GREAT place to start and I am a WW veteran, so I can answer any questions you may have. Also, check out eDiets. They have TONS of different plans you can follow there.
