I just started taking my new 37.5mg from amide(A-159)after the able lab phen was recalled. I was stunned yesterday to notice a bulge on the outer part of my wrist. After further investigation I realized it was a bone and it looks like a really large mosquito bite. I didn't bump my hand againg anything so.... has anyone experienced any thing like this? I looked on the internet and it said something about Madelung deformity...? I don't know if this is a phen side effect or what it is...

Sounds like a ganglion cyst. A little sac of fluid that feels really hard. I have one (I type for work) and sometimes it gets irritated and really hurts. One way to help it is to push hard on it and it will "break up" the fluid collection. Though it does hurt when you do it! Look up ganglion cyst and see if it seems like what you have.

I don't know, but I would doubt it is phen related.

edited to add-my mom's generation called it a bible buster, meaning to smash a big book on it and it will break up and help the symptoms. Owww!

thx a lot Kell for the reply. i'm looking up ganglion right now but i really think its a bone cos i can see it move when i move my wrists and it is extremely hard. i had shovelled a lot on friday while volunteering at Habitat for Humanity and I don't know if that may have contributed. I was so scared it was phen that I decided to skip today's dose.

I was thinking Ganglion Cyst too Kell. I have one as well.
Scrummy, is it on the upper wrist or lower (inside) part? Mine is ontop. Is it more prominent when you bend your wrist downward? Does it ache alot? Is it hard ,but yet mushy?

My mom had one, had it removed (it looks like an onion peeled)and I developed one about 5 years ago. It does get irritated if I type alot or do alot of yard work. Phen has nothing to do with Ganglions.

The thing is I feel no pain whatsoever. It just looks like the bone on the outer right side of my right wrist and outer left side of my left awrist is sticking out more than usual.it does not feel like a cyst at all but more like a hard bone. I noticed them at the same time too.
