I like the smart ones too. The sodium is not too bad though. Do you have hbp, or are you salt sensitive? If so, maybe get low sodium frozen meals. If there is a certain amount of potassium, then it offsets the sodium.. BTW, good luck.

I love Smart Ones and Lean Cuisine meals for lunch. Yes, the sodium is a bit high, but if you watch the sodium the rest of the day and drink A LOT of water (which you should be anyway), I think they're fine.

Yea they told us at Weight Watchers that the sodium is fairly high in some of them but if you drink enough water you will be fine and when they say enough water they mean like take how much you weigh and divide by 2 and that is how many ounces you should try to consume daily!! So like me for instance I should drink about 100oz a day and I try to do that everyday usually

Lean Cuisine is very good. Pizza Margherita is my favorite. I never looked at the sodium though, maybe that is why I have to drink like 2 bottles of water with them.

I agree that the sodium in the Smart Ones are high. In fact MOST frozen and packaged meals (soups too!) are quite high in sodium. I ate A LOT of the "diet/healthy" frozen meals and found I was consuming upwards of 3500mg a day ... and you're not supposed to consume more than 2500mg. I cut down on the packaged foods and added in more unprocessed stuff. But they are convienient. I would suggest limit it to the meals you need to fix FAST. Also, Lean Cuisine has a line that is sodium conscious. Can't think of the specific name (something like Bistro Selections). They have some that are around 400-600mg and advertise that they are lower in sodium. Look for those. I think the Lean Cuisine Pizzas come that way and they are GOOD!!! but keep an eye on the sodium labels of those foods b/c soemtimes they can get over 1000mg each!! That's almost half your daily comsumption.

I agree that the Lean Cuisines and the Smart Ones are tasty. With regard to the sodium, if you compare the amount of sodium in the SOs and *** and the Campbell Soup At Hands is about the same.

Incidentally, the SaH are also really good with really low calories.
