I have been doing my eliptical for about four weeks now 3-5 times a week for about 30-45 mins each time. I havent lost weight in the past week and am wondering if the exercise isnt as effective anymore. I know that people say you should switch your routine but how often do you have to switch it?? Its to dang hot even at 8 at night to even think about going outside to workout, so maybe i should get a new video or something.

Its good to have different types of exercise. A person can become "Immune", if you will, to types of exercise. Your body gets used to the routine you are doing and needs something new to continue losing. Add some weights and maybe some aerobics along with your eliptical. Drink lots of water too.

It's usually best to change your routine about every 6 weeks. You could increase time or speed to help push you over the hump. As mentioned above you might try some weight training it helps. The more muscle you have the more calories you burn.
