I really think this is TMI, but I needed to ask before I call my primary doc and see whats going on- he doesn't prescribe me phen and I know I'll get the BS lecture about phen and diet and pills aren't a miracle (he's a major di*k- he made me cry when I asked for phen).
Okay- I am taking the pill in addition to phen. I also take an allergy pill- allegra. Now accorting to the drugs website with the interaction checker, none of these have any interactions with the other.
I am taking the monophasic pills in a way similar to the seasonale pills. I stopped my active pills last week between tuesday and thursday (I don't exactly remember) and I didn't really have a period at all. I started "bleeding" on like Saturday or Sunday (I don't keep too much track- I've never needed to before, I just start back on my pills when my cycle stops). I use tampons and usually I bleed a little bit to moderate on the first day with major cramps, a moderate amount amount for like 2 days with mild cramps and then the last day its like nothing but I'm cramping.

Now usually the blood is not dark or clumpy or anything like that usually- but this month it was dark, clumpy(ish) and I had cramps and didn't even need to "use" a lite size tampon for yesterday and today- which I thought it was going to be one of those start stopper periods, but its not... I'm not cramping at all anymore. I didnt even have the typical TOM cravings or bloat...
Have any of ya'll had weird issues like this on phen with your periods? Or is this totally weird and should I call my primary doctor or my weight loss doctor and see whats going on???

I really wouldnt be concerned, if this is the first time this is happening, wait and see what happens w/ your next cycle. If it is like that,then go see your Gyno.

Your primary doc will tell you to go see your gyno anyway, unless you go to him for everything.
(which i would suggest to get a gyno, they know more when it comes to that area)

I wouldnt be too concerned, even when not on medication, things like that can happen... Happens to me all the time, well every couple months, I'll get one thats funny, but I also have a lot of female issues, that i just found out about a year ago....

I would just go ahead and wait and see what happens your next cycle, if it happens again, consult your gyno, if it concerns you.

I have an appt for my annual next friday the 22nd or something like that with my obgyn... I had that set up for a month or so now... the thing is that I'm a little freaked to wait until the next one to see what happens and also I don't have cycles each month b/c I use my pills back to back some months so I don't have to have a period when its inconvienent (I know that sounds bad- but that's the main reason I do the seasonale type pills). oh super run on sentence! gosh!

I haven't read my PM's!!! I'll go do that now!! LoL sorry!

I hadnt had a period since starting phen since I took my monophasic bc pills continuously. I stopped taking them about a month ago and the period I got was nothing like it used to be. I basically just spotted for a few days and that was it. Im waiting to start again to see if im going to be back to normal or if this is actually a side effect of the phen. Im definitly not complaining if it is

I have an IUD. Inever really had a prob woith my period before, but since starting phen, (actually the day after I started pfen I got tom) and I bleed for three weeks straight to the day, then I was off for a wee and started tom again for 3 days. I think that the stuff in pfen counteracts with the hormones in my IUD. Just thought I would share my little tid bit.
