I have been itching since aroud 9:00 last night. The itch is all over and no sign of any bumps. I've been on Phen 1 month. I've never experienced this before now. Could this be a side effect??

Hey Babydoll, it could be, but not likely as you've been on phen for a month. Try some Aveeno or benedryl(sp). Could be severe dry skin too. Is your phen prescribed or do you do it over the net?

Anyhow, where are you in OK? I'm from Shawnee.

Have a great day.

My Phen is prescribed. We live in Yukon, just west of the city.

I know when I take too much phen or add too much caffeine into the mix, my scalp feels itchy like it's going to crawl away. I don't have any problems usually so I know that's what it must be. Also make sure you're getting enough water intake.

What I have been doing that seems to work is I buy the 12pk of Dasani 12oz waters and I drink one of these every time I eat and while I'm on the eliptical machine. They are pretty small so it's easy to drink one down and still have it nice and cold the whole time. That's the key for me. I hate water unless it's nice and cold.....almost iced over. heh

Love the user-name Cristina! lol. Real or dreaming ocd4dmb! too funny.

When on phen, you wonder about reality quite often, at least I did.

I had horrible itching, scalp itching, then hives for a while. I was told the cause was the fillers used in the generic phen med I was taking. (able) Most of it cleared up completely when I switched to another manufacurer.

Drinking water, using Neutrg. soap and shampoo, and showering after all exercise may have helped too. I noticed sweating was intense, and so were a few other bodily functions. Whatever it was, the itching went away. I'm alleric to lots of things, so for all I know it may NOt have been phen causing the hives; however, the label states hives and itching as one of the major side effects; and to stop taking it until you see a physician.

Hope it adds something to the topic.
Had to scratch my head a bit for a good response! lol.

Good luck!

Me too ME too!!! I thought I was the only one itching, I thought it was because of the weight loss ( the stretching/shrinking ) Mine is my head and around my stomach, back and waist, but that's where I lost my weight so far. But WAIT...
I have another crazy side affect, after I take my morning pill, my fingers get really, really cold! Like Freezing! What's up with that? HA!

Dave Matthews Band is juicy yummy cool.

The icy hands & feet go away after a while. Blankets, hot and cold herbal tea, and a fan and/or AC were important tools when I began the phen.

Good luck!

Ok yes. it takes about 1 - 2 months for some side effects to show. I know this because I had a alergic reaction to a med just over a month after i started it. i got a rash. It takes a good month to work threw all of your body. Watch it OK. If it gets worse and also it shows rash go to a dermatoligist. The er wont diagnose ia Trust me. I went to the ER 4 times before they sent me to dermatoligist and she was like oh yeah it is this. Use this and this. Be careful please

Hi Cutegurly! Tell us, what did the dermdoc prescribe? Please? Were you instructed to stop phen? Creams? Benedryl? There seems to be a significant amount of phen users who suffer with pimples, cysts, skin irritation, rash and hives.
It goes away after they stop the phen, so I am curious about the dermotologist's diagnosis.

I am finished (phenished lol) with phen. It helped with weightloss, but the side effects were terrible. My doc claims there's a new appetite suppressant which will be made available this Fall, or possibly next year (no side effects).

Thanks

When I was taking phen, I was a little itchy, BUT I noticed it was a side effect similar to the dry mouth- overly dry skin. Oh my dandruff was just gross-uck. I had to basically use like 3 squirts of lotion on each leg, 2 on my arms and 3 on my trunk (stomach and back I could reach- good excuse to get a back rub). When I did this, it helped my itching a lot.

Just a FYI- the same active ingredient in benedryl is the same thing in tylenol PM and most other otc sleep aids- if its not the same as diphenhydramine, then it is some other antihistamine, so make sure not to take it in the am, or find a non-drowsy version.

cherimee- I had cold hands and feet too... I typically poke my feet out from under the covers when I sleep b/c they get cold, but on phen, oh I slept with socks on. S*cks, but its one of those things like what's more important?
I had the worst insomnia from phen... If I drank anything with caffine, oh 3 and 4 am was going to be my new pal.
