getting urine test for new job??????

hey, i am going for a job interview and it says in the faq's that phentermine may show up positive for amphetamines. is that true and should i worry about getting the job?

If you tell them that you are taking phen and have the bottle with you that has your name on it, it will not affect your employment. I know in some states, they are not allowed to ask you the meds you are on before the test. But, if your test comes back positive, they can then ask you to disclose any medications that may have caused the positive urinalysis. Good luck. I don't think you'll have any problems at all.

I posted similar last week ... same scenario. Had my bottle ready to show if needed to. Long story short...the offer wasn't to my liking so I did not have to go but now I know to be prepared. Good luck!

Phentermine is a prescription drug (not illegal!) so as long as you have a prescription for it (be it from a real live dr or an online dr), it's no problem!

All u gotta do is admit before u take test caz if u test positive and then admit ,well they can fire u.But u just take ur pill bottle with u caz it has ur name on it with the pills name ,Dr name,etc.Even online pills got info on em.So they r aware of what u r on.

My daughter started a new job and they do a drug test right there in the interview with a swab to ur mouth.I was told to send her in with her prescriptions in hand caz they recorded the info onto the paperwork caz she takes Adderall which will come out as a amphatetamine((excuse my spelling)))It did come back positive so with the info recorded before hand they had to call her Dr and verify it was a prescription for her.
