Hi Mery22 and Welcome!!!

What have you being doing in the last 4 days, as far as exercise and your calorie intake or eating habits? You are eating- right??? Some people thing that taking phen will cause then not to be hungry and sometimes foget to eat or have to force themselves to eat! BUt ya gotta eat!!
It is most probably water weight. What goals or weightloss are you looking to accomplish?

Some people see a big loss the 1st week or so on phen and then the weight starts to slow down.

Again welcome to the board, there are several motiviating and wonderful ladies and gentlemen on this board that will be more then happy to help answer any questons, concerns or if you just need to share.

It is normal to lose pretty quick right in the beggining..... not to burst your bubble, but a some of that is water weight, but yes, some of it is fat too...... Congrats, keep it up !!!! Make sure you are eating enough though..... if you don't your metabolism will slow way down, and then your weight loss will begin to stall. ALso drink TONS of water
Keep up the good work !!!!

Well to answer your question, yes i had similiar results to yours! I lost 6 pounds my first 4 days, and many others have lost like that also! I think i seen a girl on here lost 20 pounds in 6 days on another forum but she posts on here also! And now she is like 140 or something, so yes people are losing fast with phen, but i'm not complaining at all....lol....i love it, and it gives mt the motivation to do right cause i know i will get to goal!

I'm trying to stick with weighing in once a week. However, I did get on the scale three days after starting Phen, and I lost a total of 6.5 pounds. My first official one week weigh in is tomorrow.

I've been pretty good about excercise but better with food. I have actually started to eat greens, (uhg, it took alot for me to do it) and I like them. I haven't been on the scale, it's a mental thing, BUT, I had someone ask me yesterday if I had lost some weight, they saw a difference in my love handles... Oh, and I went down a size.... so far so good. I am more determined everyday.
Starting weigh..198.5

Fat being 3500 cals/pound, to lose one pound of fat in a week requires a 500 cal/day deficit, whether you get that from exercising, reduction of food, or a combo of both. 5 pounds would require a whopping 2500 cal/day deficit ! You'd have to pretty much each nothing AND exercise.

3 pounds requires a deficit of 1500 calories per day which is attainable but would certainly require a lot of effort. If your body requires 2000 cals/per day to maintain, you could achieve the 1500 cal/day deficit by eating 1000 cals/day and burning off another 500 through exercise. I would not be able to do this for more than a week !

Unless you are very very active, any loss in excess of 3 pounds is likely water, and perhaps a bit of muscle if you are not getting sufficient exercise.

That said, there is a HUGE psychological benefit to seeing your weight drop quickly. And even water loss alone will make you feel thinner. But one small slip in your diet or your body's own mysterious controlling mechanisms can cause you to retain water and make it appear that you have gained weight. Oh how many times have I gone through this ! It's why I don't want to weigh myself ! It's so depressing when you have done everything right and you feel thinner and yet the scale shows otherwise !

Hi Mery...

Wow...Someone noticed a loss in your "love handle" area already? Impressive. Surely the ABSOLUTE LAST thing to budge on me !

I weigh only once a month and lost 20 the first month...so I would say I likely had a similar loss the first week.

Much luck and continued success to you!

I think I'll try weighing in once a month. I put on some shorts to go shopping and noticed a difference in the way they felt, but then, I went shopping, oh how sad. Needless to say I did not buy a thing.
About my love handles, they were the last thing to pop up and I think they're the first to go. I've never, ever, had them before. My problem is below the waist, thighs and rear, although I knew I was in real trouble when my bras weren't fitting, those had never grown before.
I am really so glad I found this site, it's such a relief to know there are so many other people trying to accomplish the same thing as you.
