What's the difference between Phen and Bontril?

I saw in another thread that some people have tried them both. I checked the other forums on this website, but didn't find any mention of Bontril. Is Bontril in the same family (amphetamine) of drugs as phen? Would it be at all useful to switch up between the two- phen and bontril? I'm just thinking ahead to when my phen starts to wear off.... TIA

bontril is the brand name of phendimetrazine(sp) there is a forum here for it but is doesn't say too much. I've never taken it but I think it is kinda similiar. wish I had more info.

well i never took Bontril- But i took the generic form-- and i liked it better than the Phen- i had less side effects with it-- I took it after i had taken a month of Phen-- and it worked fine for me!

I take them both. Phen 30mg in the morning and Bontril an hour before dinner each evening. Bontril wears off in a few hours but it gets me through the evening cravings. I've taken it a few times in place of Phentermine and still lost.

phen 37.5 for me is enough I took phen 37.5 2 years ago and it got me to my goal weight . I'm on it again and feel the same like last time I guess It's effect is stronger on different people

Thanks everyone. I did find the phendimetrazine forum on this website, but am stilly trying to find out if the Bontril is in the amphetamine family- if so, then it probably wouldn't do me any good to switch over to it when the phen wears off after a few months of use. I will keep searching though, thanks for your input!
